Starting a new life after severe protracted withdrawal

I'm at a crossroads and could use some advice. Essentially, I am looking to start a new life, perhaps even in another country such as Asia. I've lived in the US most of my life and, while I don't exactly hate America, I don't love it by any means either. I'm looking to start completely new: new name and identity for starters.. perhaps denounce my US citizenship.

I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has done so or at least felt like doing this. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

2005: Began switching from one ssri to the next. Very little tapering time was instructed by my psychiatrist. Tried just about every drug on the market. Some two or three times. Nothing reallly helped my moderate depression and anxiety. They only made things worse most of the time!!

2014: Began experiencing severe symptoms while still taking Zoloft, oddly enough. Was forced to quit drugs altogether.

2017: A new year begins having experienced substantial improvement. Still not sure if my symptoms were severe protracted withdrawal or a severe reaction to a med, or possibly a combination of each.

I really want to do this too! There's a country I'd love to live in but I'm not recovered enough to go on my own.

I think it would be great to try, where are you thinking of moving specifically if you don't mind my asking?  Not that I'm very literate about Asia, just curious.

I forgot, way back when when I first was harmed by psychiatric drugs, I was on a message board and one of the other people there had been harmed in the early days of Prozac being on the market.

She actually got a settlement for the harm, hard to do, but had pulled it off, and took the money and moved to Costa Rica if I recall properly.

Didn't want to stay in the US because there were too many people on the drugs and it scared her.

Then there are various stories of people who actually went on the run from forced psychiatry in different areas and moved to other countries, I have found a number of those.

I'm considering South Korea possibly or Thailand. I have a good friend from the Philippines but not sure about it yet. Wanna travel and see how it goes. I know this though, in some places you can buy a nice big home for pretty cheap compared to the US. Plus you don't have to pay such disgusting American taxes. Basically I've been saving for this possibility. And it's easy to find a girlfriend or wife over there also, or so I've been told.

Would be nice to get money from the damage these drugs caused me but as you mentioned it is very to prove. Class action would be a better route I'm afraid.

I would also like to go on a journey over the world, especially not so developed countries. I find the idea of Asia great. My best friend has a wife from Philippines and she said that in Philippines it is also possible to find work even when you speak only English, especially in call centers and so. And that it is very cheap. I find it very interesting.
