By way of an update, the shippers are picking up our stuff next Friday. Haven't stopped 'running' for weeks now as crazy amount of things to do.

Going to take a 2 week vacation before returning to the UK. Went to MD today to get my urine tested for possible UTI.

Hanging in there, but extremely stressed out and hyper.

Walked 12k a couple of days ago which threw my CNS into overdrive. Paid for it yesterday and still not good today.

In a nutshell am freaking out as we will have as much to sort out when we get to the UK as well as having to move 4 times.

Any support would be appreciated.

Hi Junglechicken , it sounds like you're doing really well with so much to organize.

Anyone would find this sort of move extremely stressful , even without ad's involved.

If you do have a UTI , you might want to look at options other than antibiotics , which can

react badly with cipralex.

Are you still having w/d symptoms?

Fresh - thank you for your reply :0)

WD symptoms I have experienced since re-instating Cipralex 5 weeks ago:

Loud tinnitus (more noticeable if I have overdone it with the exercise).

Body aches and pains (more noticeable if I have overdone it with the exercise).

Anxiety and depression has ramped up more the closer we get to the move date.

Appetite has been up and down depending on how I have been feeling.

Have been so busy I haven't really had time to analyse too much.

Forgot to mention that I have pretty major fatigue and it comes and goes.

I am about a week off my TOTM which does make me feel very tired.

Not used to feeling so tired and it makes me wonder if I have something more serious.

My best advice is to be gentle with yourself Junglechicken. Don't get caught in a whirlwind , cause thisis a marathon , not a sprint.

You are the best judge of what a good baseline is for you. If you are still considering updosing

you could go to 3mg. After 5 weeks you'll continue to improve , but we know it's slow.

Probably a good thing not to spend too much time analyzing symptoms.

How are you feeling about going on vacation?

Don't think I have UTI, didn't hear back from MD re: result of urine test - think I was just very de-hydrated which caused the mega fatigue. Also my TOTM is nearly here which also makes me very tired.

Not too worried about vacation, can't wait to do NOTHING. So long as I have my meds and supplements should be ok.

Not going to up-dose but miss my running a lot. However, I was using marathon training as a means to manage my stress levels so became OCD about recording every bit of exercise I was doing.

Forgot to add to the WD symptom list above that if I over exert myself then I get the flu-like symptoms.

A couple of days ago I was shifting large shipping boxes around the house and yesterday i got aches and pains and the this morning I got the flu-like symptoms.

They can last a few hours or a day and then they disappear.

Just been rung up by other doctor (not my regular doctor) who I saw about UTI test - she said I had very low level bacterial growth.

Will keep monitoring and have the ABs to hand if needed.

However, if anyone knows of a non AB treatment I would appreciate it, as Fresh mentioned that the Cipralex/Macrobid interaction isn't good.

Cranberry juice is the traditional cure.

Thanks BM, thought I would check to see if there were any others people knew about other than cranberry juice.

Here are a few ideas JC. I take colloidal silver instead of antibiotics. If these remedies don't work

you might consider taking that for a few days.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a rich source of enzymes, potassium and other useful minerals that can prevent the bacteria that cause UTIs from multiplying or growing. Those suffering from UTIs can use apple cider vinegar as a natural antibiotic to treat the infection.

Add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water. You can also add lemon juice and sweeten with honey. Mix it well.

Drink this two times a day for a few days.

2. Cranberry Juice

Certain compounds like proanthocyanidins found in cranberries prevent bacteria from reaching the walls of the urethra and causing UTIs. Cranberry juice also has a very mild antibiotic affect.

Drinking half a glass of cranberry juice daily is one of the easiest ways to prevent urinary tract infections.

Those suffering from a UTI should drink about three to four glasses of cranberry juice daily to prevent the infection from causing damage to the kidneys.

You must drink unsweetened cranberry juice. You can mix it with apple juice to enhance the taste.

Warning: Do not take cranberry juice if you have a history of kidney stones.

3. Baking Soda

Baking soda will raise the acid-base balance of acidic urine and give you relief from the pain. Neutralizing the acidity in the urine also will help speed up recovery. Simply add one teaspoon of baking soda to a glass of water and drink it once or twice a day.

4. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties to help fight the bacteria that cause bladder infections like UTIs.

Mix 10 drops of tea tree oil in your bath water and use this water to wash the urethra opening.

Alternatively, you can mix tea tree oil with equal amounts of juniper oil and sandalwood oil and rub this mixture on the abdominal region and on the area near the bladder. This is very effective in reducing pain associated with UTIs. Follow this remedy once daily for three to four days.

Another simple way to treat UTI is to soak in warm bath water mixed with two teaspoons of plain yogurt and six drops of tea tree oil. Do this daily for 10 minutes for about 10 days

Thank you very much Fresh.

I bought some UTI pills earlier that are made of 100% cranberry juice and I have to take 5 a day or something. Most effective if taken for a month.

This should work while we are mid-moving.

Off to have a shower, lol, this move is a nightmare!

Packers have been here since 8:30am .....surviving on only 4.5hrs sleep and amazingly have had no body aches today after yesterday's marathon packing session.

Been popping cranberry pills for the last few days (6 per day) and hope that any remaining bacteria will be flushed out.

After this we'll be in a motel, then off for 2 weeks vacation then back for a week then off to the UK.

Crazy times, God knows how I'm surviving this and have shaky hands (maybe all that green tea I drank this morning).

The 2 weeks vacation will be the eye of the storm before the craziness the other end.

Hi all,

Got back from 2 week vacation last night hence no input from me for a while.

Feeling really off :0(

Couldn't sleep a wink last night.....

Day before yesterday got carried away and did some strenuous swimming in a very wavy sea for 50mins. Boy am I paying for it now.

Got a head cold and cough as a few bigger waves shoved me under the water.

Had various aches and pains since and rested yesterday.

Bad tinnitus after the flight (cabin way too hot and dry). Overdid my tea I take which wouldn't have helped CNS.

Oh and the UTI which I thought had gone seems to be back :0( I was taking cranberry pills until they ran out which seemed to do the trick and resisted taking the Macrobid. Could the strenuous swimming have set it off again??

Other than that had a lovely relaxing time and didn't think about the WD issues too much. Now I am back in Canada the neurosis is back.

AND I have urine and blood tests at 10am today :0(

Hi Jungle.  I understand about travelling.  It's rough, however I'm not going to stop , in lieu of " withdrawal ".  You sound ok .  Is there anything else you need to know ?

All of your symptoms sound like withdrawal .

Let us know how you go , with your tests.

Felt weird the day after arriving at our hotel (tropical damp climate). Got headaches, nausea and body pains.

Now it's back to cold and dry climate (the opposite). Got all the things I mentioned above.

Just really nervous about the tests - convinced I have something.

Yes travelling is very tough. A week from now we have an even longer flight.... Starting life again in our own country.

A tip for anyone travelling - before we left I bought a pill case which for $10 carried all my supplements and AD for a month. Saved a lot of space in my luggage as I didn't need to take along the large plastic containers they come in.

TOTM arrived 7 days early this month - should I be concerned?

Period finished after only 3 days as heavier this month.

Guys - I badly need your insight:

I am scared that the UTI never went or that I have something else. Have been taking cranberry pills every day.

Since being back I have been suffering from pain in the lower back, lower abdominal, left foot, hips and random parts of my back. My brain is in a fog. The head cold I had is on its way out.

Please help as I am flying on Wednesday. Should I get another UTI test done??

I have a friend on here who is over 20 months out from Lexapro and still has weird cycles.  I've heard that withdrawal and AD use both can mess with cycles, making menstruation more severe, longer, shortening the cycle, all kinds of stuff.

What were your test results?  Are you having frequent urination?  You could re-test if that would give you peace of mind.  It sounds like the stress of moving after vacation is catching up with you, making you more vulnerable to withdrawal waves.  You have a lot going on and it is no wonder you are in a wave!  Try to hunker in and nurture yourself, and drink lots of fluids. Are you taking a probiotic?

I remember having a horrid bladder infection while on vacation camping of all things!  I was miserable and we never bothered to stop and seek treatment.  This was back in the '80's.  I had blood in my urine and had to pee constantly, very uncomfortable!  I finally got treated when we got home, and all was well.  No lasting damage.  Review that list of helpful tips Fresh gave you.  They must have checked the pH of your urine.  I know in my dogs that alkaline urine is indicative of a bacterial infection since normally it should be acidic.  I think you can even get test strips that show values for blood, sugar, protein, pH etc. in urine.  I was using them for a dog that had bladder stones.  That might be something to try, but if it is easy to drop in for another urine test that would be good.

I hope you get relief soon!

Thank you so much SG, you have put my mind at ease - have been really freaked out the last few days.

Was talking to my hubby over dinner and it dawned on me that I could have re-entered a wave on account of all the symptoms which started the day we got back from vacation (note: I was totally fine for the 2 weeks we were away).

Hasn't helped that since we got here haven't been able to exercise due to having a cold.

Worst thing today was having tunnel vision fear and feeling that I was in a downward spiral of despair.

Will get re-tested tomorrow for UTI and deal with it.

As always I really appreciate the kindness of the people on this forum......it's a life saver.

J C.  Have you tried " Colloidal Silver " ?  :)   It can put  those problems , to rest  ! Not proven , as its natural , but does work .

Hi AliG, no I haven't tried it. Will see if I can get it here.

Had a scare early hours of this morning due to lower abdominal pain/sensitivity.

Usually sleep on my front and the area below my belly button was too sensitive to put pressure on (haven't had this before) - couldn't get comfortable. Went to the loo and passed a you-know-what which seemed to do the trick.

My digestive system has been up the creek since we got back and I haven't been going to the loo properly once a day but instead several times (bit by bit). Wonder if this is the cause. A lot of things went through my mind earlier :0(

Freaking out about blood now.

Thinking its to do with my digestive tract and not my period coming to an end. Oh heck I don't know anymore.

We didn't manage to have our blood/urine tests done as we didn't have our requisition forms due to the move. Going to have them done this afternoon.

Help :0(

Hi JC.  Just breathe.  It's ok . You're panicking !  What can you do to calm yourself ?  Meditation , yoga or perhaps deep breathing ?  Maybe , a walk ? Just try and stay calm , and these problems will  resolve, in time.

Just scared AliG because of the pain.

My period pain doesn't usually go past the 3 day point once it's started, and so I started thinking its something else :0(

Not having a good time of it, and yes I am panicking.....

I don't know what time it is there, but can you try an epsom salts  / magnesium bath ?  or a heat pack ?

These symptoms are probably just " wacky withdrawal symptoms".  There are a lot of them. The thing is not to let them get the better of you. Just say to yourself -"this is withdrawal "  All these symptoms , show that I'm healing.  This is just my body , realigning itself after the trauma. Talk yourself through this, in a good way. Perhaps read this :

Ali, got your message re: magnesium bath.

It's noon in Western Canada....we are busy as usual doing stuff prior to flying tomorrow.

Yeah, didn't recognise the pain I had so got scared. Have nausea and appetite loss.

Trying to keep a lid on the emotions but admit I am struggling big time amid the chaos.

Finally had our tests done yesterday (blood/urine/ECG).

Tested negative for UTI.

Lower abdominal pain has now gone. Doctor thought it could be Montzuma's revenge as we had been to Mexico.

Now have a nasty chest cold/cough infection just in time for our flight back to the UK :0( It's been one thing after another.

Something you would all appreciate. Yesterday I saw a young female doctor who acknowledged that ADs cause a multitude of aches, pains and weird side effects particularly once they have been stopped and then re-instated. She is the only doctor who has said this.

Must be something to do with the medical training these days....those that are fairly new out of medical school are aware of this AD stuff.

Body aches, awful nights sleep with the coughing and now on day 6 of TOTM (SG - your point re: messed up cycles noted although this is a first for me as it's usually bang on time and predictable).

Oh and the constipation is driving me nuts :0(

9hr flight coming up in 8hrs time :0(
