Did the moderators answer? Are you going to reinstate?

Aug. 2014 - May 2018:  100mg Zoloft

May 2018-Oct.2018: clean (stopped them, nearly cold turkey)

Nov. 2018 - June. 2020: reinstated 50mg Zoloft (with a few, sporadic and very short periods of 25mg)

August 2020 + Sept. 2020: 45mg Zoloft (used the 10% decrease/per month liquid method)

Oct 2020: various erratic reductions

Nov. 2020: reinstated Zoloft 50mg

I just realized you successfully tapered Zoloft from 200mg but you were only on the drug for less than a year. That explains the easy taper. Your case is much different than mine where I have been on Zoloft for 7 years. After 3 years in the drug, I first (nearly) cold turkey tapered and it was not that difficult. The difficulty arises after you have been on it for years.

No, none of the moderators answered me.  I ended up in the hospital, and am now again on ALL the drugs I was on before and more!

Yes, it's more difficult if you are on it for a long time.  I have had to reinstate in the hospital, and am back at the massive amount as I was at the start 200 mg.  I

Send the moderators a PM. They’ll answer. I was on 30mg Zyprexa. I was on Zyprexa for approximately 14 years. I was successful but it was extremely difficult. Only do one drug at a time. I was also on Klonipin and had to withdrawal from that about 17 years ago. That was also very difficult.

Take your time. I know it will seem like forever but stay the course and you’ll be fine. I wouldn’t not recommend substituting one drug to help you get off another.

good luck

Sorry to hear about you ending up in hospital. Given the repeated identical outcomes in your tapering efforts, perhaps it is wise to accept (and save yourself further hardship) that for whatever reason (relapse or withdraw effects ) you need to be on the Zoloft for the time being (and perhaps indefinitely).

Aug. 2014 - May 2018:  100mg Zoloft

May 2018-Oct.2018: clean (stopped them, nearly cold turkey)

Nov. 2018 - June. 2020: reinstated 50mg Zoloft (with a few, sporadic and very short periods of 25mg)

August 2020 + Sept. 2020: 45mg Zoloft (used the 10% decrease/per month liquid method)

Oct 2020: various erratic reductions

Nov. 2020: reinstated Zoloft 50mg
