I'd be up for chatting on something like whats app or even skype. Even email would be good. Feel free to PM me.

2000 - took accutane for my acne 2001 - On Paxil for about 6 months. Stopped due to side effects mainly severe stomach pain, extreme fatigue, headaches

2006 to 2009 - Went on 150mg of Wellbutrin/Bupropion for about 3 years. Side effects were again stomach pain, fatigue and frequent urination. Didn't feel like it helped my anxiety/depression so I stopped cold turkey. I did not have any major problems after going cold turkey at the time.

2009 to 2012 - Starting taking 100 mg of 5htp and whack load of other supplements(multivitamin, omega 3, protein shake, amino acids, sage, magnesium, vitamin D3, apple cider vinegar pills) every other day. Helped with my anxiety/mood quite a bit.

April 2012 - first signs of sexual dysfunction(pre-cum all the time especially when going to the bathroom to pee and not aroused), but issues were minor. But also had feeling as if I am ready to ejaculate all the time.

June 2012 - major weight loss, was about 15 pounds underweight and severe stomach pain and cramps

Nov 27 2012 - Took last pill of 5htp 50mg. Worst issue severe sexual dysfunction(can't get or sustain an strong erection, loss of feeling, no orgasm, no desire for sexual activity, delayed ejaculation, pre-cum when i'm not aroused, feeling of arousal all the time without thoughts) and frequent urination which is why I stopped taking 5htp and all other supplements completely cold turkey. Experienced the following side effects the past year while still taking the supplement and while getting off;

Feb 2013 - started major symptoms of frequent urination Dec 2013 - issues with muscle tension. Neck shoulder and headaches

insomnia, hives, eye twitching, restless legs, frequent urination/tingling sensation, upset stomach, cramps, bloating, diarrhea, severe sexual dysfunction(no erection, no feeling, no orgasm, delayed ejaculation, premature ejaculation, constant arousal, pre-cum a lot more than normal, morning erection not as strong as it used to be, cold damp genitals) ,headaches, brain zaps, dizziness, nausea, chills, fatigue, anxiety. Lack of natural body sweat especially when active.no emotion, tinnitus

Present Issues - sexual dysfunction and frequent urination, headaches, shoulder and neck pain. Cold feeling in between my thigh area and Genitals. Tingling/arousal feeling in Penis. Premature ejac. Have gotten the so called "24 hour flu" 4 times over the past two years in withdrawal.

Nov 27, 2015 - 3 years off since I took my last pill of 5HTP, 5-6 years since taking last pill of Wellbutrin

2010 started 10 mg celexa, 2011 went up to 20 mg
06/2014 started tapering (20 mg,10 mg alternate days)
19/09/2014 crashed at 10 mg
20/09/2014 updosed to 20 mg to try and stabilize- Never stabilized and CNS basically plummeted
August 31 2015- Started my 5% taper anyways

May 3 2016- At 14 mg the tapering caught up with me- Withdrawal included severe anxiety, feeling like im on speed, suicidal and homicidal ideation, akathesia, feeling like I was on heroin, memory loss, PGAD, feeling like I was on an acid
May 4 2016- Updosed to 15.5 mg to try and stabilize
June 4- Started taking 2 mg 5 times a day which adds up to 10 mg because of akathesia when taking my full dose. Akathesia symtpoms smaller
July 27th- Dropped from 15.5 mg to 10 mg because could no longer tolerate taking drug- bad side effects mainly akathesia and emotional deadness.
Oct 11- Improved a lot since May 4th after my crash. Withdrawal symptoms still left- DR/DP, emotional anasthesia, akathesia, tingling in head, feeling like my body and face disappears, messed up sound interpretation, perception and difficulty reading social and emotional cues during DR/DP, apathy, inability to tell if I am in dream or reality, disturbed sleep. Started having few windows

I would surely call or email anyone who needs support.

Send PM and I'd be happy to help. Disclosure: I'm very positive about this process and I am not having as hard a journey as many you read on here.

Began Paxil for situational panic attacks in 2000. Then psych put me on Prozac to transition me to Lexapro in 2008. I forget the dosage of Paxil and Lexapro. Switched to100mg Sertraline since 2011.

75Mg taper began 06/21/2016. 67.5 mg taper began 07/10/2016. 61mg taper began 08/01/2016. 54mg taper began 08/24/2016. 48mg taper began 09/06/2016. 44mg taper began 09/20/2016. 40mg taper began 10/11/2016. 35mg began 10/25/2016. 25 mg began 11/15/2016.  20 mg began 12/03/2016.  12.5 mg began 12/22/2016.  DRUG FREE JANUARY 16, 2017!!

Began daily meditation 12/01/2016.  Very helpful!!

Prayer, always, and Acupuncture, as needed.<p>Isaiah 50:7 (NLT): Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be dismayed. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. And I know that I will triumph!

Update 12232016

Zoloft  2004. Effexor 2004-2006. Paxil 20 mg for 2006-2010. Ct 2010, bad effects back on, stable by 2011.  Poopout June 2015. Added Zoloft 1.2 mg , increased up to 25 mg stable for a while, then stopped.

Sep 2016 paxil 16.2 mg alone(295 mg pill weight). Started tapering 11/14/2016.

Took off 1 mg pill weight(total pill weight of 20 mg = 365 mg and 16 mg is 295 mg). Went down 1 mg per week of pill weight so down to 291 mg by end of November. Starting getting anxiety issues starting since 12/10/2016. Hoping that a faster taper will help.

There is a FB page but as it's a public setting I'm unsure of posting on there

I'm paranoid enough (even asked for my name in here to be changed) but to have it publicly visible on FB among friends and such like when you can't even get your nearest and dearest to understand then I feel it would put people off

I wish I could find someone who understands local to me especially as I have so many issues it's impossible for me to keep up
http://survivinganti...re/#entry257333

20yrs on and off many ADs last stretch was 8-10yrs on fluoxetine 40mg daily
Cold turkey since December 2015 after a traumatic event in my wife's life
Depersonalisation episodes
Depression
Panic attacks
Anxiety
Diazepam Propranolol 40mg x3 daily for 2 months tried tapering made me ill so cold turkey
Now loosing everyone that ever mattered to me

I don't know who or what I am no more ....... or even if I want to be

Hello hopeful here *waves*  :)

I stopped Quetiapine on 2nd December 2016. I find myself just over 5 weeks later feeling well, together and have refound the mental clarity that I lost whilst being on the drug. I took up to 150mg. I started at 25 mg in April/May 2015, then went up over the next couple of weeks to a maximum of 150mg. Even though it is an anti-psychotic I was taking it to treat treatment resistant depression. I've experienced depression for over 30 years.

So my withdrawal was more physically difficult than emotionally or mental. I had severe sweats, dizziness, drunken feeling, headaches, lethargy, insomnia and a bit of shakiness. I got through the first fornight mainly by staying in bed and drinking loads of water. I'd eat fruit, seeds, nuts and loads of green veg. My key was resting up as often as possible.

I'm feeling very well and actually despite the physical issues I fet the difference in mental clarity pretty much from day one or two. Just over 5 weeks later I remain in a good place and am only looking forward in my life.

If anyone would like some support during their withdrawal I'm really happy to respond to PMs and offer you my time, understanding and patience.

Best wishes to you all

Hopeful  :)

Quit quitiapine on 2nd December 2016. Dosage 150mg.Been on it since April/May 2015.Take 30mg of amytriptaline as a neuropathic.
Previous meds 1995-2015 - moclobimide ,trazadone, paroxatine, fluoxetine, sertraline, citrilopram, mirtizapine, dothiepin, doxipin ,venlavaxine and buproprion.

Would anybody be interested in a small group chat? I was thinking maybe a groupme/wechat or some other phone app where we can gather 3-4 people who are going through these tapers together to offer and receive positive support

2011 on paxil 10mg
2013 switched to oral suspension, 10mg
No documentation of tapers in this time period
2015 tapered down to 4.8 mg
2016 after enduring extreme depression for 6 months, psychiatrist suggested returning to previous dose. Back up to 5.2 mg
2017 4.8 mg

Yes, I agree that an off-site phone conference among members is a wonderful idea. We would need to organize by polling people on the day(s) and time(s) when they would be available to chat together. There are many platforms that would accommodate this.

Maybe members in the past have already done this--not sure. But all of us could use the support that a personal connection that a conference call would provide.

If anyone is interested as of today (Feb. 10, 2017), I would be willing to try to organize and set it up. Just post your interest here.

I would be interested. I can PM you my phone number.

I know nothing about this groupme or wechat. I don't even know how to do conference calling. Guess I'm old lol...

lex - great! Will PM you

Just to clarify, I wanted to do more of a txting based communication so that throughout the day if one needs to vent or alternatively compelled to share positive thoughts/news regarding tapers we can. I think it will help feel like there is always a support system in our pocket regardless of time of day (of course response times will vary). I think Drugfreeprof has an excellent idea, too, for those who prefer a phone conference. I think Skype and google hangouts could be good for that.

As for the chat room style system I suggested, wechat and groupme are just 2 free apps you can download on any smartphone (if no smartphone or you don't want the app, you can have groupme forward as text messages). Groupme can also be used on a browser.

Let me know if you're interested either here or a PM :)

2011 on paxil 10mg
2013 switched to oral suspension, 10mg
No documentation of tapers in this time period
2015 tapered down to 4.8 mg
2016 after enduring extreme depression for 6 months, psychiatrist suggested returning to previous dose. Back up to 5.2 mg
2017 4.8 mg

Any style is good for me, although I may be able to participate in phone conference style more as I don't have much time typing a lot. I will try to figure out the apps once you decide.

Can those who would be interested in, say, a monthly phone chat (just to start--maybe more often if it is what members want)

let me know a day and time that would work for them?

I am wondering about a Sunday evening--that day and time is when I've often found people being available--but I'm not sure, so could interested members PM me with suggestions?  It would be wonderful to get this organized.

It sounds like people would prefer a phone call, so I'm thinking a free conference call line would be good, or we could set up a group call on skype, but I will check this out with people I know who do this frequently.

A note from the staff at SA:

Please remember that everyone here has their struggles. Be considerate of your phone friend and mindful of the person's time and energy.

You may wish to begin with pms.  If after some time you both are still happy with the contact, you could consider sharing phone numbers. You may wish to agree in advance about how often you want to talk, for how long, and at what times of day.

Please do not share your phone number if you know you are a person who has difficulty setting boundaries in relationships.

2010 May Fluoxetine 20mg. Raging mostly stops, become more functional.
2011 February Escitalopram 10mg (sudden switch). 2012 January Escitalopram 20mg.  2013 Early June Feeling great, decide to taper. Doc advises alternate days 20mg/10mg for 4 weeks.  Late June Steady. Drop to 10mg daily. Early July Not coping, raging, flu symptoms, shaky, anxious, low, spaced-out, self-destructive.  Mid July Return to alternate days 20mg/10mg - minimal improvement. Early August Return to full dose 20mg. Lost.
2014 February Switch to Venlafaxine. (First reduced Esc. to 10mg/day for a week) Feb-April Lost, 'light' self-harm, exhausted.
April Increase Ven. to 150mg/day. Dizzy. July 75mg twice a day to improve dizziness. Deep depression remains.  2015 Feb Vigilant dose spacing partially eases dizziness. Mar Switch to Effexor 75mg 2x/day. May Cut 10% to 135mg - bad w/d 2 mths, held 1 mth.  Aug 1.3% cut - bad 1mth, held 1mth. Oct 4 wkly 0.4% cuts held 6 weeks. Jan 2016 2 wkly 0.4% cuts. 8 month hold. Sept Wkly cuts: 0.5%, 3 1% cuts.  Oct 4 wkly 1% cuts, hold 3-4 weeks.
Supplements: Fish oil, vitamins E & C, magnesium, iron, MSM, oat-straw tea, nettle tea.  My story of healing: ContinuedHealing

I would love to Skype or talk with other people like myself.  I simply can't find other survivors in my community, at least those who are looking for someone else like me.

PS  Please respond.  I can talk during the day and up to around 7 pm at night

Now, I'm left with a damaged ANS, and other systems and an understanding of how and why those drugs were initially administered.  All are hurting here, had I a kind and compassionate form of intervention 3 decades ago, I believe my life as a Geologist would have proceeded.  Many have asked I write a book, several have already; I desperately want my life back again.

Abilify and Trazadone (Dropped from 15  mg to 3.75 mg, 50-200 mg, respectively for 10 years prior), Ambien, Lunesta, Sonata, etc (sleep meds, et. al.)

Celexa, Prozac, Zoloft,  Paxil,( and other anti-depressants interspersed though out this)

Zyprexa (5-10 mg, for 10 years prior to that)

Navane  (5-10  mg, for 6 years)

Halidol, Cogentin, Ativan  (5 then 10 mgs) (9 months total at least)

Stelizine, Thorizine (3 days)

Total about 29 years

(Many more I'm sure I don't recall, of course, all doped up, now hopefully 'reovering')

Thank you for your wise words, Karen.

MN

2005-2006 Rapid taper off of Zoloft. Horrible but survived. Adverse drug reaction to Prozac.

2010-2013 Night panics. All typical sleep aids failed. Diagnosed with complex PTSD.

2013-present: Valium (5mg x 3) prescribed by pro-benzo doctor. Helped me sleep for awhile. Then sleep began to get worse again.

Nov. 2014 Switched doctors. New doctor was anti-benzo but thought a 3-month taper was a slow taper. Failed and reinstated. Added 25mg Seroquel for sleep.

Sept. 2015 Made occasional very small dry cuts to the Seroquel. Down to 20mg. Did not notice much change in symptoms.

March 2016 Reduced gabapentin by 20% by accident and backed up again. (Was trying to feel less sedated.) Reduced again more slowly to 200+200+300.

Sept 2016 Down to 16.5mg of Seroquel. Disabling neuropathy and sleep poor. Backed up to 19mg. Improved.

October 2016 Liquefied one V tablet. Neuropathy back immediately. Waiting to liquefy another.

November 2016 All 3 tablets now dissolved. I think the windows are getting a little more frequent but they don't last long. Sleep poor.

January 2017 Felt stable enough to try daily microtaper. Started at 3% and inched up to almost 10%. Became very unstable. Terrors back. Neuropathy back.

February 2017 Holding again. Slow improvements.

March 2017 Neuropathy back to tolerable. Making very tiny cuts, about 3%/month.

Hi:

I'm just starting my taper, but could always have new people that we could help each other.

I have one girl that we text and it works great.

I can't talk negative right now, going through a hard time.

If you're interested, PM me and we can talk.

Hi:

I'm not in your situation with debt and I have a fiancé. But I'm all alone. He works and we live in a town of 600 people, so I have no one to talk to.

I talk with another person through text. It works great. I can't have negativity right now. I'm going through a lot.

Read my thread and if you are interested PM me.

So sorry to hear about your situation, Biscuit. If you post and introduction thread, you will meet more people on the forum who can be of help.
