Great to have you here Aeroman, and everybody else who is helping those of us on this long, long journey to recovery! Thank you for your dedication and all of your help!

Alto, if it weren't for you and this site I would be a bigger mess than I am today. I had believed the garbage my doctor and other incompetent people were telling me. I started to believe I had mysteriously developed bipolar or ocd in a matter of two months but it was just my too fast taper off sertraline causing the horrifying symptoms. I knew in my gut it was withdrawal, but had no way to prove or confirm it. Thanks to SA, I am finally able to start healing. So thank you!!!

January 2014: 25mg Sertraline.

April 2016: 75mg of Sertraline.

June 2016: 0mg Sertraline.

September 20, 2016: WD

September 22nd: Lexapro 10mg for 3 weeks. Doctor CT’ed me.

October 2016: Trazodone. (Forgot dose)

October 2016: CT trazodone

October 2016: Buspirone 30mg

October 26 2016 - Sertraline was reinstated. Titrated from 12.5mg - 57mg.

March 2018 - stabilized on 57mg.
March 2023 - No medications.

Very pleased to announce that the good Gridley and MollyN have joined us as moderators.

Gridley is in the midst of tapering a range of drugs and has had to make the difficult decisions regarding deconstructing a drug cocktail. Since he joined us almost exactly a year ago, he's become quite knowledgeable.

MollyN, who has graced our community for more than 3 years, is another well-spoken New Zealander. She had a bit of a bumpy road off Paxil but and is now recovering in all kinds of ways.

Please welcome Gridley and MollyN to our moderator team.

Many of you will know manymoretodays from her distinctive writing style and wry sense of humor. Here is her Introductions topic.

Manymoretodays, a former RN, came here almost 2 years ago after nearly 40 years on countless psychiatric drugs. She was tapering Adderall and Trileptal and feeling overwhelmed and isolated.

She is now completely off drugs and feeling much stronger. She has been a valuable contributor to the community and, I am pleased to say, has agreed to join our moderator team.

Please welcome our newest moderator, manymoretodays.

Please welcome SkyBlue to our fine moderator team.

After several years of tapering, she knows all there is to know about going off Paxil. She's about to say goodbye to Paxil forever, then....taper Zoloft.

Welcome, SkyBlue.

Welcome, SkyBlue.

Thanks, Alto! It's great to be a part of the team.

2020: After 18+ years (entire adult life) on Paxil, a dangerous doctor-led "taper" in 2015, and four years tapering off the last 1 mg thanks to SA and the Brassmonkey slide,

I AM COMPLETELY FREE OF PAXIL! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Forever.

2021: Began conservative, proper, CNS-respecting taper of Zoloft, led by the only expert on me -- me. Making own liquid. 5-10% plus holds.

2022: Holding on Zoloft for now. Current dose 47 mg. Hanging in, hanging on. Severe protracted PAWS, windows and waves. While I may not be doing "a lot" by outside standards, things are graaaaadually getting better

Yes, I agree.

All we need now is for Altostrata to rename herself Cirrostrata, or preferably Cirrus, which is at a much higher altitude.

Altostratus clouds are related to Nimbostratus which give rainfall.

Yes, I know!  Trust a geek who has worked for over 50 years in that crazy world, to rain on the parade!

Welcome!  thank you for being willing to do the work. 😍

Currently taking Ramapril (blood pressure) 5 mg twice a day

Omeprazole 10 mg AM and 20 mg PM  (the taper has gone nowhere after the first cut)

Famotidine   once a day (and I still needs tums sometimes)

magnesium 200 mg at night

as of yesterday 2 fish oil capsules "EPA-DHA 1000"

off Lexapro as of 5/2018  - last dose had been 5 mg every other day for a couple years

highest dose had been 20 mg at which point I was diagnosed with Bipolar II, which went away when I cut the lexapro down to 15 mg.

I spent years on Paxil before Lexapro (can't remember dose), briefly on Effexor and Abilify and others I have forgotten. in fact, when I was diagnoses with BPII I was put on all kinds of things which made me feel so bad I stopped them cold turkey within maybe 3 or 4 weeks, thank goodness. since then I've known these pills were terrible and I weaned down the Lexapro with zero help or support over I'm not sure how many years.

Carmie's calm encouragement has charmed all of us. She's been on and off a raft of drugs for chronic pain, coping with awful withdrawal symptoms, and has been tapering 300mg Seroquel for years, now down to 7.5mg.

WiggleIt is our latest moderator.

Since she joined in 2014, her long, slow recovery from severe adverse drug effects is chronicled in WiggleIt: Tardive dyskinesia from TCAs and benzo rapid tapers

WiggleIt has shown extraordinary inner strength and perseverance throughout her ordeal. This is not to say she did not experience existential crisis -- WiggleIt has been through it all, and has won our hearts with her sensitivity and gentleness. She has also become a most eloquent peer counselor.

Welcome, WiggleIt. So wonderful to have you. : )

Yoga (gentle to medium); walks; daily breath practice; nutrition, fruits/veg; nature; water; EastEnders (lol); practicing self-compassion, self-care; boundaries; connection; allowing feelings; t r u s t ing that I, too, will heal. (--> may need to be reminded of this.)
