Let's pray for one another

I can't hear right so looked it up

I come, God, I come
Return to the Lord
The one who's broken
The one who's torn me apart
You strike down to bind me up
You say You do it all in love
That I might know You in Your suffering

Though You slay me
Yet I will praise You
Though You take from me
I will bless Your name
Though You ruin me
Still I will worship
Sing a song to the One who's all I need

My heart and flesh may fail
The earth below give way
But with my eyes, with my eyes I'll see the Lord
Lifted high on that day
Behold, the Lamb that was slain
And I'll know every tear was worth it all

Though You slay me
Yet I will praise You
Though You take from me
I will bless Your name
Though You ruin me
Still I will worship
Sing a song to the One who's all I need

Though tonight I'm crying out
Let this cup pass from me now
You're still all that I need
You're enough for me
You're enough for me

Though You slay me
Yet I will praise You
Though You take from me
I will bless Your name
Though You ruin me
Still I will worship
Sing a song to the One who's all I need
Sing a song to the One who's all I need

I don't know something about this seems wrong to me....

I think there are times when He will break us if need be. Or, He will remove things from our lives to get our attention.

Remove things from out lives to get our attention I don't think he needs to... he is God

but you know what I have been having a rough day on here and think I have to go around

and apologize... so may as well start here

I am likely wrong everything is hitting me wrong today and i am a b**** on wheels...

with bad attitude...

Today I felt drugged... i told my relative I feel like I am on a drug... I slept the entire day and

slept last night too...

I have not had a non foggy thought in my head all day... I can't feel the ground beneath my feet

forget the wind beneath my wings... but I am looking for it.

A bit about love on VT day

http://www.thoughts-about-god.com/blog/2015/02/14/ep_the-way-of-love/

1 Corinthians 13

1 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. 2 If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing. 3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

8-10 Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.
11 When I was an infant at my mother’s breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.
12 We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!
13 But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

I think he knows our pain and helps us through it..

Here is the passage from John 11--I've just copied the verses that tell what happened and how Jesus reacted.  I believe that this passage shows the depth of the love of Jesus and the grief over what death has done to us.

The Death of Lazarus

11 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.”

12 Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” 13 However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep.

14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. 15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.”

20 Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. 21 Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.”

23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. 34 And He said, “Where have you laid him?”

They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”

35 Jesus wept. 36 Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”

37 And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?”

We don't see what He sees.  We see what seems to be unnecessary death in that Jesus waited 4 days to come to Bethany.  He came to show us that He IS the resurrection.   But what grief was felt by the family of Lazarus and by Jesus himself that death could steal the life we were created to have.

Need prayer for my marriage here.  This last taper drop has been really horrible withdrawal-wise, plus I had a sinus thing for 6 weeks which complicated things even more.  My DH doesn't understand or always remember the shape my brain is in and he is close to divorce.  We have been married since 1991 and together since 1989.  I think the anhedonia is what gets him, along with the anger.  I think the anhedonia more so.

Anyhow, the devil is totally loving our lives right now, and I feel completely incapable of dealing with this.  I am fearful for my (and my daughter's futures), as well as my mental ability to handle this or any big change due to the withdrawal.

Trusting God that he won't leave me through all this, but I am a mess.  Thanks guys.

Is your husband a believer?  I am praying that God will speak to his heart and cause him to understand what marriage means to Him, and give your husband a heart of service and love.  And for you to know that God has gone before you and will keep you in His care.

I hope this inspires you all if not I hope it entertains you and offers a small distraction. A story of a man who was from the U.S.A, and that he had been a very long-time fan of Bruce Cockburn’s

Well he had been without work for almost 9 months, and he was coming very close to losing possession of his home.

At one of his very lowest points, he was plagued with a reoccurring dream. In the dream, it was only him in an empty room a couch and an dark entrance way. Every time he worked up the courage to walk through the door, a wild beast would appear at the door and he would end up hiding for fear of his life behind the couch. Each night, he would get closer to the door and a more ferocious beast would appear, until one night a lion appeared and he thought he would die. In his dream, he reached out to God. he had nothing and admitted that by myself he would die. He began to hear music. It was Bruce Cockburn’s “Wondering Where The Lions Are”. His fear melted away. He was still hiding and looked out over the coach. The lion was gone.

“I had another dream about lions at the door
they weren't half as frightening as they were before
but i'm thinking about eternity
some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me.

In the next couple of days, he got an invite to a position that he didn’t really desire, but he was desperate, and he was greateful…well, on the way to the interview he had a situation on the highway that made him late, it was 90 degrees in a full suit, no air conditioning, and some of his work that he had produced that he wanted to share for his worth in the interview…well the night before his computer crashed?!

By the time he is sitting across the desk from his interviewer, he was almost despondent?!

But somewhere in his head he hears music…

“Sun's up, uuh huh, looks okay
the world survives into another day
and i'm thinking about eternity
some kind of ecstasy got a hold on me.”

He just simply stopped sweating, he turned to his interviewer and asks…”Can I borrow your computer”…she was hesitant, but did so. He brought up the first file that appeared, and it turned out to be one of his biggest projects he had worked on. The woman got a quizzical sort of look on her face, and says – “I’ve seen this diagram before, it is hanging on my boss’s office wall in St. Louis.” From there the interview went well. He didn’t’ get the job,…he got a better one!!

Let us hear this story, and may it encourage you all that God works and weaves us all together.

Let us know that our race of life may have times in which we are thirsty, that we are hungry and even times that are truly scary, however we do not run this ‘race’ alone.

And there are times when we truly feel so very loved by God ….and that our faith is truly so very strong,… that we can feel like some kind of ecstasy has a hold on you…

Let us have a listen and sing to Bruce Cockburn’s song…

There is a place in the bible where Jesus groaned... I watched a show today of how Jesus knows our sorrow.. I wanted to find and share it with you but have not been able to find it... in the show she referenced how Jesus groaned...

so I am sending you that till I find the other or maybe rather than the other If I never find it

Jesus took on human form he knows all pain he knows our suffering he understands ... he groans and cries he has human emotion understands us.

It was all to be done in such a way to bring the works that followed into play ...

He delays going to Lazarus

" Instead of immediately traveling to Bethany, according to the narrator, Jesus intentionally remains where he is for two more days before beginning the journey."

"When Jesus arrives in Bethany, he finds that Lazarus is dead and has already been in his tomb for four days. He meets first with Martha and Mary in turn. Martha laments that Jesus did not arrive soon enough to heal her brother and Jesus replies with the well-known statement, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die".[11] Later the narrator here gives the famous simple phrase, "Jesus wept".[12]"

"In the presence of a crowd of Jewish mourners, Jesus comes to the tomb. Over the objections of Martha, Jesus has them roll the stone away from the entrance to the tomb and says a prayer. He then calls Lazarus to come out and Lazarus does so, still wrapped in his grave-cloths. Jesus then calls for someone to remove the grave-cloths, and let him go.'

The narrative ends with the statement that many of the witnesses to this event "believed in him." Others are said to report the events to the religious authorities in Jerusalem.

The Gospel of John mentions Lazarus again in chapter 12. Six days before the Passover on which Jesus iscrucified, Jesus returns to Bethany and Lazarus attends a supper that Martha, his sister, serves.[13] Jesus and Lazarus together attract the attention of many Jews and the narrator states that the chief priests consider having Lazarus put to death because so many people are believing in Jesus on account of this miracle.[14]

The groaning to me shows he knows our pain... he was in human form. He was tempted in all ways and bore the cross without Lazarus death and resurrection there man not have been a crucifix for Jesus... it was all done according to a plan.  For the Glory of God ... which is what I said at the start how does this suffering we have here at this site bring glory to God?

By staying together and supporting each other thru this maybe we show love of mankind and mercy and understanding to each other I am not saying we have plan to bring Glory but since we are here anyway... we can ask ourselves the question...

How does this bring Glory to God if we can't see how now perhaps we can find ways to see to it that this does bring him glory.

Just my thoughts.... kindness love understanding all go a long way in helping people to heal... and I have a feeling this site is doing some of that some of us may be doing so in this thread at least in the of God with prayer.  I know it is not a huge monumental thing in the world but it just may be for the person you are praying for.

Peace

I was wondering what his inspriation was for the song and did some looking war was a hot topic nuke age war..his friend said the world may not be there in the morning.... he had a dream about a lion who became friendly...  on waking the world was still here he was inspired to write this song...

Many think the lion dream was based on Daniel :

So they tried to use Daniel's faith in God against him. They tricked King Darius into passing a decree that during a 30-day period, anyone who prayed to another god or man besides the king would be thrown into the lions' den.

Daniel learned of the decree but did not change his habit. Just as he had done all his life, he went home, knelt down, faced Jerusalem, and prayed to God. The wicked administrators caught him and told the king. King Darius, who loved Daniel, tried to save him, but the decree could not be revoked.

At sundown, they threw Daniel into the den of lions. The king could not eat or sleep all night. At dawn he ran to the lions' den and asked Daniel if his God had protected him. Daniel replied,

"My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king."
 (Daniel 6:22,
)

Peace
