Just want to say hi, Lex. Thinking of you.

2016: 0,98 to 0,22 mg; 2015: 2,35 to 1,01 mg; 2014: 4,9 to 2,5 mg; 2013: 9,1 to 5,1 mg; 2012: 15,7 to 9,7 mg; 2011: Started on 25 mg - then 50 mg- dropped to 25- to 12.5 mg - back to 25 mg - after 18.75 mg started tiny tapering to 16.6 mg

Started on 25 mg Zoloft in March 2011 due to stressrelated tinnitus that gave me panicattacks. Had a terrible reaction to Zoloft from start, but was told to "hold on". After four months I was stuck. Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

Hi Amy, I'm not doing great unfortunately, but to be honest, it's not surprising for what I did in the past two months. I think I have been cutting dose every day with hug cut some days getting down from 0.9 mg to 0.06 mg as of today. Too complicated to explain or summarize even the main symptoms. Brain and body paralyzing is the worst to deal even the pain, needling, acid treatment, pressure are pure tourturing too.

Crazy that even with that much dose drop and at this low dose, the drug toxicity is still very strong, although I think I'm in more WD than reaction these past few days.

Hope you are doing well!

I still often have a lot of side effects too. Not like yours, but I know what you mean. It's toxic.

Yesterday it was crazy anger and restlessness. I wasnt a pleasant person to be around.

I'm glad some of the experience shared are helpful. I learned a lot from yours!

Another day of Non functional from the paralyzed brain and body on the left. I'm considering switch to Celexa for potential dose increase. I haven't been doing much for work and this status can't go long to keep the job.

Thank you so much! You are such a sweet heart!

I feel I dropped too fast lately. At the same time, I can't updose lex for the drug reaction which is the exact reason I dropped quickly.

I read some can tolerate Celexa better when they can't RI Lexapro, so my hope for the same.

The plan is to switch at the equavellent dose then increase gradually to a level WD is tolerable, then taper down gradually from there.

I believe we discussed substituting Celexa at length a while ago.

Yes, it can be done, but getting the dosage right will be tricky. If you feel things can't get any worse, this might be something to try.

This is not medical advice. Discuss any decisions about your medical care with a knowledgeable medical practitioner.

Yes alto! Those are still valuable information and analyses. I feel less scared about the switch at this level ( 0.07 mg lex), even reaction to Celexa it shouldn't be too strong and in case the whole thing is messed up, jumping off from both is less damaging.

I wonder if taking both together would cause any problem, if not, I will try to test Celexa by adding a tiny dose like 0.01mg to the mix to start with.

Cipromillion, thank you for your care and support! Yeah, it's not a good situation, all caused by an accidental one dose increase from 3.2 to 4.2mg August 2015.

I work from home most of time, only 3 afternoons in office. My work is super flexible. With a highly functional team I don't have to do much at all except for a few emails and couple meetings ( dial in from home too) so even I'm still considered as full time, i haven't been full time for longer than a year since the drug reaction.

Now I can't even make it around this work situation as often times I can't talk properly and a simple email can be difficult.

Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

Yes therotically. The company is in the middle of replacing US workers by contractors from India. My entire team have to be changed. I am the only one responsible for this changes by providing trainings and making transition plans etc. I did the initial training last Sunday all by subconscious. and the transition will continue for the next few months.

I don't feel couple weeks off will help much as my brain hasn't been functional for a long while ever since the drug reaction, one from WD too, may be mixed of the two, so not very possible to have major improvement in the short time frame.

Taking leave of absence is risky for my own job in the long term.

Hi Lex, stopping by to see how you are doing . Just read your post about possibly switching to celexa. It is crazy what lexapro is doing to you and the reaction it is causing. I really hope the switch will work for you . I know how scary and unpredictable it is and we do our best to make a good decision, but there is always uncertainty. You are so close to the finish line though, a little left to go. Keep on the good work and don't give up

Hi Blondiee,

Thank you for stopping by and providing your kind support! It helps so much at this critical time!

I'm right this moment searching high and low for a safer strategy to switch. As conservative as one could possibly be about change drugs, I feel I am now pushed to the very dead corner and have to bite the bullet.

Can you tell me how you did the switch to Luvox and immediately how you felt after taking the new drug?

Also, how are you feeling recently? I hope the current dose works for you better now!

Hi Lex,

I did the switch from lexapro 5 mg to Luvox 50 mg (which I think is a bit more like 6 mg of lexapro ) directly overnight per my doctor instructions which I am not sure was the correct way to do. She said since they are in the same SSRI class just stop one and start taking the other . I remember feeling nauseous the next few days and also sleeping in a lot. Like I would wake up in the morning at 7 am and then would go back to bed with my body feeling heavy and not awake and I would sleep until 10 am or even 11 . I also felt a bit off, loopy and forgetful like I would be walking and I would forget how I got to a certain place. Nothing majorly scary . I think I was worried about being debilitated and having emotional symptoms. I did get 2 vertigo episodes where I was hit with sever nausea and spinning with each move . My dr does not know if it is medicine related or not . I feel like it might be but I am not positive . I am still not sure if I made a right decision to switch or not . I do think I don't feel lethargic as I did on lexapro and also my anxiety seems somewhat better . But now I have this dizziness and disbalance feeling even more . But overall the switch was okay .

Hope you are doing better

Hi Chicago. How did you like your meditation class ? :)

Lex that left body paralysis is felt all day long ? My God sounds like someone that had a stroke :(

FSL, my dear friend, happy to here you here. The left body paralyzing is not all the time, it goes with the brain being paralyzed, but the whole brain is fried up when it's not paralyzed from huge pressure on the left side then my entire body melts down, like this moment I can literally feel my brain is melting to sand/ trash. Either of the two makes the head falling off like no support from the neck and I feel like 200 yr retarded.

Hello LexAnger,

Can i ask how are you doing your drops? I saw your post on Amyk forum, you said your are putting 1.5 drop on 150 ml. How do you calculate 0.07 from the 150 ml? Im curious.

Started zoloft 25 mg on October 2009. Started tapering May 2016 to june 2016, last week at 12,5 mg and quitCrashed 23 january 2017, severe headache and panic (never had this panic all my life) next morning.Tried to reinstate with prozac 5 mg a day on 25 January 2016, bad choice, got arrhytmias and stopped. Started propranolol 40 mg as needed on january23 - 28 Feb 2017 Tried zoloft reinstatement at 1mg didnt work, more akathisia and head pressure.

Hi SERT,

After reaching the tiny dose round 0.1-0.2ml, I felt regardless how accurate you can do using the synrige, it can have daily fluctuation. I noticed each drop from the synrige is approximately 0.04 ml ( my original Lexapro liquid is 5mg/ ml) so at one time when I'm close to 0.08 ml, I changed to measure using drops instead of ML, which is much more accurate. Since then I dilute the 2 drops by adding 200 ml water, and tapering down from there by reducing whatever the doses I decided to as its so easy to measure from the 200 ml solution, just need to be careful about the math each time cutting down.

For my current dose, 0.062mg, it's an estimate as I don't really count the mg anymore since then, only Drops and ml, this is how I do,

Take 1 whole drop -- straight and easy, about 0.04mg

Take another drop into a container, add 100 ml water, then take 55 ml of it-- about 0.022 mg

So I use the second drop solution ( 0.04mg/100ml) to taper, it's not hard to make reduction of 0.0004mg as it measures 1 ml of the diluted solution. Also due to its super low concentration, the error is close to zero for even the smallest drop.

I do need to remember to shake it well though before taking the 55ml.

Right down the formulas so you can see it when you do the titration just be sure no mess up by accident.

I'm patiently waiting, enduring for the day when I have a clue what this toroidal is taking me to, and when my fried brain can make a comprehensive post.

Love and hugs,

Lex

Hugs to you GrandmaD!

Even I'm completely crippled, I have confidence that my brain is working very hard and will get its original balance and functions back.

Now without much drug to play with, I can focus more on the natural healing, not like before I have to debating about dosage everyday, a huge stressor.

Hope you are still coping fine.

Hi LA, glad you are  pushing through, not far to go now and then you can concentrate on recovering.  Thank you, I am coping much better this week, no headaches, very few pressure heads and able to breathe a lot better, that is, I can take a deep breathe now when I want which is such a relief as I couldn't do that before.  At the end of my taper with a week to go, so hoping next week is even better!

GrandMaD,

I'm so happy for you having a window with the long hold! You deserve it so well.

I'm now very certain that my recent fast dose reduction is a big NO. Even it was a forced action due to drug reaction, I probably should have stayed at 0.2 mg without further dropping quicklly to the current dose of 0.06 mg, as the drug reaction was totally manageable by then. I'm paying it by being totally bed ridden now.

So be slow as much as possible. Turtles will win the battle.

Hugs,

Lex

Started on 25 mg Zoloft in March 2011 due to stressrelated tinnitus that gave me panicattacks. Had a terrible reaction to Zoloft from start, but was told to "hold on". After four months I was stuck. Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

Thank you dear Amy for your dearest care and continuous support!

My apology for not being able to respond promptly. I used to have daily windows oftentimes in evening, but the past months have been in constant lost both physically and mentally.

Totally defeated is how I feel lots times, but I know I still have to continue.

You are so right dear Amy! Every time I'm in desparate, I would remember what you told me, that it will change! I guess the past month has been particularly challenging not only because the high level debilitating symptoms but also no sign of changing ( for better), I used to bounce back pretty quickly.

I try to remind my self this is no surprise for such a huge drop in one month, which I planned to do in a year.

Hope you are doing well!

Hey, rain,

Thanks for stopping by and the world of encouragement!

I'm glad you are moving along well with the tapering plan!

Yes, I know in my heart that we will eventually make it to the other side. If not for the need of keeping my job, I can totally live with it until my Brian is healed by time.

Keep the good work,
