rain, Glad my horror experience had some value to your situation!

Be careful about WD too. Ever since I hit by reaction, I always thought reaction is the worst eventually jumped too much then got hit huge by Wd too. I can't updose much due to the same old issue -- reaction, so in real stuck!

wish you best luck playing with the two evils, the trickiest and hardest even in the whole AD terror.

Thank you so much for the support, guys! You are the best!

WD-symptoms are rattling through my cage like a hurricane these days. The way i can best describe it is "like shredding skin". Feels like Im imploding from the inside and my whole body is bruning up. Vivid nightmares and my head feels extremely heavy.

Im dizzy and my motor coordination is screwed up. I can grab for something and then my arm wont move sometimes. I got black "floaters" on my eyes/vision. Some strange pressure behind my eyes. Muscles and joints are aching and akathisia gives me a agitated feeling, like acid in my veins. Difficult to explain.

Im using detached mindfullness as often i can. Just accepting the situation and focus all my energy on survival. It helps to know I've been through this before. The pain must end, and hopefully sooner than later.

My body is broken, but the spirit is strong.

How are things with you today?

Sept 2015: 5 mg Cipralex for 3 weeks. Lots of side effects. Reduced to 2.5 mg for 2 weeks. Experiencing withdrawal and side effects still after dose reduction. Quit after almost 4 weeks on 2.5 mg because of adverse effects. Experiencing withdrawal symptoms still. Reinstating 1mg after 3 weeks. Reduced to 0.50 after 2 days due to sensitive reaction (dysautonomia) and trip to ER. January 2016: After 14 months of tapering from 0.5 mg im now down to 0.08mg. Planing on one more drop before 4-8 weeks healing, then jump to zero. 14.03.17: Lexapro free!

It's incredible how strong these drugs are, Cipramillion.

Acceptance is the way, just stay calm as you do. It will pass.

Can you go to work?

Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

The power of these drugs are beyond anything i thought was possible. One has to experience this to actually know what this is all about.

The fact that the starting/ending dose of Lexapro is 5mg makes me furious! All that suffering people have to go through. I think this is the biggest scandal in the whole history of medicine. The scale of this problem even makes it worse than lobotomy in my opinion. They dont even work better than placebo for treating depression!

Your absolutely right, it's a scandal in the history of medicine. I think there will be s shift in paradigme concerning these drugs. They will hopefully be viewed as lobotomy in 20 years.

I'm very sorry cipromillion! I feel almost every single of you suffering as most you described are the ones I am experiencing too! I can get those from as low as 0.0004mg dose cut, believe it or not!

But thinking about what I did recently-dropping from 0.9 to 0.06 mg but still alive, you will survive it.

If you can take a few days off plus the weekend, it can do some good to you.

Be very kind to yourself at this extreme difficult time and keep faith.

Hug,

Lex

I so believe the windows will come for you, they always do even for hardest cases. It can be any time in terms of days for your case.

I feel the heart issue is kind of under control by the dose increase (all fingers crossed so no more dose increase needed) by stretching the liquid as much as possible (touch the diluted liquid whenever feel the heart is getting weak).

The drug reaction (brain fried, burning/needling all over, some akathesia kind of feeling) triggered by the dose increase is still quite strong. typically I would have one day with WD in control then the next reaction in control. so I have been taking dose accordingly (I would believe no one in the whole world ever takes any meds like I am doing, like I am feeding my brain with the meds whenever it signals a need for the drug, hour by hour or even less).

my hope is I can stabilize at this dose then I will stay as long as possible there.

Yes, Amy. I need to stay calm and hang on this wave until the next window pops up. Akathisia is by far the worst symptom. Feels like ants are crawling inside of me, restless and pain in joints/muscles.

Sadly enough, im quite used to it by now. Im also suffering from a lot of fatigue.

Im hypersensitive to magnesium supplement, so thats a no go for me. I make juice from spinach and avocado. It contains natural magnesium. It helps for my akathisia. I drink that every morning.

Started on 25 mg Zoloft in March 2011 due to stressrelated tinnitus that gave me panicattacks. Had a terrible reaction to Zoloft from start, but was told to "hold on". After four months I was stuck. Therefore the long taper. Crazy, I know... Super sensitive to drops and have dropped by 4-6 % from the previous dose.

feeling any better,cipromillion?

I dint know ants crawling inside allover is one of the symptoms of akathesia. I have been having that ever since my first dose incraese. I thought I'm the only one having that most disturbing symptom, super uncomfortable. Never heard a description of it matching how I feel. Actually it's more than just ants crawling, I usually tell ppl I'm being BBQed.

Thx for checking in on me, Lex!

The restlessness/ants sure are annoying!

Im still having a rough time. The akathisia is the worst symptoms, but fatigue and pain in muscles/joints are also wearing me down. One day at a time...

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

Thank so much for the support! Your words always cheer me up, my friend ????

Sorry, but I have not been able to write much here lately. Things took a turn for the worse after the final jump. Im stuck in this dark place at the moment. Derealization, depersonalization. A bit like the twilight zone, If you catch my drift. And im dead tried/exhausted. All my energy is gone. Im not scared, as i've been here before. Just Waiting for a window. It will happen one day soon Im sure. I will be back with more to give then. Just trying to keep my head above water right now.

How are you feeling, Lex? Hope you are doing well.

I'm so sorry cipromillion it's been so tough! Don't worry about posting here if you don't feel like to for any reason. Everyone here understands.

I feel your struggling and pain with every single dreadful symptoms. It seems my symptoms since down to 0.06 mg are almost 100% overlapping with yours. Extreame fatigue, intolerable pain, akathesia, pins and needles and bugs crawling allover, body weakness / paralyzed and various head sensations out of the universe. When I updosed to 0.13, fatigue, pain and body weakness tend to lesson while needling and DR, especailly akathesia ramp up very frightening. I know this may shake your faith and determination, would you ever consider reinstate like 0.01 mg? I found at this extreme low dose, even 0.004 or less can make a difference, I hate to say, but that tiny dose has been my life line lately. Updosing is my biggest concern ever since the drug reaction, but the evil reinstate effects seem last a lot shorter maybe because the absolute amount of the drug is so tiny.

Are you able to work still?

Unfortunately I'm in the worst stage over the past 5 yrs tapering too. Sometimes feeling hopeless if I will ever recover, but as always have to continue the journey.

Hugs, cipromillion, you are in my prayer!

Lex

Sorry to hear about those terrible symptoms, Lex. Im lucky in that departement, i can read some and my cognitive abilities are not that bad. I tend to forget things and my attention span is way lower than it used to be. Still not devastating.

Are you able to work some?

Hugs!
