I had to be rushed off to the Emergency Room quite a few times with SVT.(supraventricular tachycardia ) It's an electrical heart problem that I just learned to deal with.The heart reaches 300 beats a minute or more and when I did go to ER I needed IV Adenosine. That's quite a rush - straight to the heart ! Very disconcerting to say the least however most of the time I just " breathed " through it at home without needing medical help or intervention.

 

Anyway, this is just my way of saying JUST BREATHE. It's ok and you will get through it. Gather your W/D tools around you and just keep using them until you have them well and truly " down to a fine art" .

That had to be very scary. My heart is always fine.

 

I think it all boils down to all the driving, my teeth being pulled, that partial broke the 1st day I had it, and now my fiancé is working 7 days a week.

 

I was going to taper a little this month, but with everything going on, I'm waiting. I don't want to add "fuel to the fire".

 

You always have a way to calm me down. And so does Andy and JanCarol.

 

You have no idea how greatful I am to have this site.

I feel so alone today. Shortness of breath, anxiety, nauseous. And very weepy.

 

I don't know why. I skyped with my granddaughter this afternoon. I miss her so much.

 

Got the laundry done.

 

My fiancé chuckled at me today when I told him about my day, but later gave me a hug. He never does that (chuckle).

 

I've sat here with tears running down my face.

So sorry you are having a bad day.

 

I know you get lonely and now your fiance is going to be working a lot of hours too.

 

Some days my husband is the only person I see and I hate it if he has to go out so do know how you feel.  I have always been very independent but can't drive here (WD) so I am stuck.

 

I get lonely too but am near a town and if I am feeling well can go and distract myself around the shops etc. My husband drops me off or I get the bus. But I am still on my own.

 

We had very good friends here for many years but sadly last year the man died and his wife went back to UK. It has left a huge void in our lives as we spent a lot of time with them. My husband is a bit of a loner and doesn't need to be around people where I am just the opposite. 

 

We have some friends here but some don't live here all the time and the one's that do will never be able to replace our old departed friends. I would love to have a girl friend that I could go out to lunch with or shopping or even a hobby with. I do this when my friends that don't live here all the time come over but then I am on my own again! 

 

I was an only child and don't have any family now and my husband has a sister he is not very close too. So we are on our own. I have a best friend in UK who is like the sister I never had but the flights are expensive to keep going back to see her and in WD I cannot travel sometimes. Airports, crowds etc freak me out a bit!!

 

I always used to book another trip when I had seen her so I had something to look forward to but I can't do that anymore. She works and doesn't get many days holiday a year and has a young grandson to help look after so can't get over here much.

 

At least you have a plan to go back home again. Time seems to be passing very quickly - summer is nearly over already!  Another year nearly over and nearer to you going home to your family.

 

 

 

You have been through a lot lately and has/is taking it's toll on you. At least you have your doggie to cuddle!  I would be lost without my 2 dogs and 4 cats. They give me so much pleasure.

 

I am thinking of joining something like a yoga class to maybe meet some new people. It would be nice to have something to do over the winter. Is there anything like this in your small town?

 

You have friends here Frogie who care about you. I know it's the internet but it is still contact with someone.

Hi Flowers:

 

I don't know what is wrong with me today. I haven't had a day like this in a long time.

 

I woke up with anxiety, shortness of breath and nausea. I haven't had any nausea since all this teeth stuff started and I was put on an antibiotic. It made me really sick so the dr put me on another one, so my body has gone through h**l the last few weeks with meds.

 

I'm also an only child. My mom passed away almost 8 years ago and my dad 4 years ago. I miss my mom, she was my best friend. She had surgery and had a stroke and passed away.

 

My fiancé has 3 brothers, 2 live out here, but we never see them. They don't like to socialize. He has a sister that lives by my hometown. She is very sweet. I really miss my fiancés mother, she was a nurse for over 30 years and was really helping me through this withdrawl. They live in my hometown. She is like a mom to me. My uncle lives in my hometown and comes out here for holidays which is nice, I love him so much. My fiancé is like your husband, he doesn't need people around and I'm the opposite just like you.

 

I used to be 20 min from my oldest son, daughter in law and granddaughter, now I'm 2 1/2 hours away. We have been living here 4 years and my son and daughter in law have been here once. I do get my granddaughter once in a while, but it's not the same. I skyped with her today which was nice.

 

I haven't talked to my youngest son in 8 years. It's a long drawn out ordeal, that I don't want to put on the forum. I'll PM you sometime and tell you.

 

One nice thing, I can drive. But we only have a hardware store, small grocery store, and gas station with a convienience store with it in our small 600 people town. We have to drive 16 miles to go to a bigger grocery store (no deli or bakery), 2 dollar stores and a store kinda like Walmart except very, very, very small and expensive. In that town we have a few fast food restaurants, but nothing to brag about. That's where the Drs are and a 17 room hospital, and 1 pharmacy. You have to drive 2 1/2 hours to go to a nice restaurant.

 

This town is so clickish it isn't funny. They are nice to your face, then you turn around and they are stabbing you in the back and talking about things they know nothing about.

 

I have 1 friend, she lives across the street, but she keeps herself busy with an e-bay business. I talk to her once a week or so.

 

I wish you and I lived closer, it sounds like we have a lot in common. 

 

I aporeeciate you being my friend, even though it's through the Internet. At least I have someone to talk to. Thanks for writing me. It means a lot.

 

It's just so hard to be alone all the time.

Isolation is very difficult. I'm not surprised that you are experiencing anxiety, shortness of breath and nausea.  With the teeth and the partial you were fitted for it's an upset to your already sensitive system. Since I have been put on the Predisone I have had nausea, tremors, and sweating.  Again, an upset to the system.  I hope you feel better quickly.

It was a huge slap to my system. You are right.

 

I just found out a really good friend of mine passed away today. She was only 47. She put up a good fight, but wasn't enough to get rid of the liver cancer.

 

I hope we both heal quickly

I wonder whether the antibiotics have upset you a little? I can't tolerate many of them as they upset my nervous system making me very depressed and anxious. We are all different though so this might not be the case with you.

I keep thinking of the day I get off of Zoloft as being the magic day.  I just realized that for a good long time, perhaps years, after I get off of this poison I can possibly still have problems every time I take an antibiotic, a steroid, get sick, have a dental procedure like Frogie did, or have have an emotional stress like Frogie loosing her friend. When we are all off of it we are still going to have to be ultra cautious. I'm being sarcastic now, when I say Anti-depressants will be the gift that keeps on giving, long after that package has been thrown in the trash.

It is a tragedy. She had colon cancer, but it moved to her liver. She put up a good fight for almost 2 years. She was only 47.

She was a good friend. She will be missed. I think the antibiotics upset my stomach because I was starting to feel better until I found out my friend had passed away (she lived in another state).

It was sad, but she isn't suffering anymore. She will be missed.

 

Now my 16 year old chihuahua is sick. Talked to the vet yesterday and he thinks she has the flu. Not eating. She is my world.

 

My stomach is soooo upset it's not funny.

Hi Frogie.  Hey, are you drinking some kefir?  It's not too expensive and most grocers have it.  I thought I saw something about antibiotics and stomach upset.  I just get flutters in my gut now when future tripping/fears/anxiety........I mean it could be that too I suppose........the emotional gut response.

 

Is the dental work done?  What a bummer......in general........dental work.......ugh.......grateful for my teeth intact today.

Update:

 

I wish someone would come by and just say everything will be ok.

 

First - our sewer collapsed and we could not use water and it  could not go down the drain. The neighbor was kind enough to let me do laundry and take showers over there.

 

Second- our washer went out. So we had to buy a new one.

 

Third - my friend passed away after a two year battle with colon cancer, that moved to her liver. I broke down bad. She was only 47.

 

Fourth - for the last month I have been at the dentist. Had three teeth pulled, my partial broke the first day I had it. Finally got that fixed Monday.

 

Fifth - now my best friend, my 16 year old chihuahua won't eat. Started yesterday. She will take sips of water and pees but has diarrhea. Not throwing up. Her vet is 2 1/2 hours away. I found one an hour away that I'm taking her to today. But I'm sooooo scared. I hope it's just a flu like we get. I need my baby. I can't lose her now. Not in WD and tapering.

 

Can everyone please pray for me. I'm a mess. All of this in a couple of months. I can't take much more. 💔😭

The sewer is fixed, my teeth are fixed, we have a new washer. My friends memorial is in Florida in a couple of months. With everything going on, I doubt I'll have the money to go. That is really weighing heavy on me also. 

 

I can't lose my baby right now. I know she's old, but it only started yesterday, so hopefully they can help her.

Update with my 16 year old chihuahua Brownie:

 

They ran blood work, her CBC came back fine, so they thought she was ok. But then they got the results for the liver and kidney functions. They were off the charts. They wanted to keep her, but she wouldn't survive without me for even one day. So they filled her full of Iv fluids and put her on a kidney med. I have to take her back in 2 weeks for blood work again.

 

They can't tell me if she will live through the weekend or for months.

 

I just know I can't lose her right know, my heart is broken and I can't stop crying.

I just have to get her to start drinking again. She's always been a big water drinker until yesterday. She just completely stopped.

 

She did eat a little tonight, but no drinking. But she is full of Iv fluids too.

 

Just pray for me that these meds work and she starts to drink again.

 

I'm not ready for this right now. 😭💔

We had a problem with our little guy not drinking liquids.  We flavored the water with real chicken juice and he started drinking.  We didn't use the bullion cubes because they have too much salt, but rather we pan friend some chicken, without any seasoning, and poured the juices in his water.  We kept doing this and he kept drinking.  Don't give up, she is probably so full of IV fluids she is not wanting anything, but maybe flavoring the water will help.  Please let me know how it goes.

Well, very long night. I slept with my little girl. She was up and down all night.

 

This morning she acted hungry, so my fiancé got her a little chicken. She sniffed it and walked away. She won't even eat her treats, and she never turns them down.

 

She had gone potty 3-4 times, but I think that's all the IV fluids. Still not drinking.

 

Gave her the pill hopefully they will help.

 

I'm so sick to my stomach it isn't funny.

 

Please pray for me. She's all I've got.
