Well,

Update... I made it through the party. It was nice. Had prime rib, which was very good. Baked potatoes and lots of side dishes that people brought.

Sat at a table that the people were nice. They actually talked to me.

Had a mishap though. One of the ladies there has high blood pressure, got too warm and passed out. So the ambulance came. She didn't go to the hospital. I hope she will rest today.

I have some anxiety this morning. There must have been 15 desserts. I had a bite of probably 6 of them. Way too much sugar for my body, and it's letting me know with the anxiety. So no sugar for a few days. I finally figured that out. I hope I will be able to go back to sugar eventually.

I did win a door prize. A really soft plush throw. Brownie will love it lol... Fiancé won one too. An old truck carved out of wood with a Christmas tree and presents in the back. Cute.

All in all, it was ok. I'm glad it's over, one more to go. Fiancés company Christmas party. Not going to eat but maybe a bite of sugar there lol...

Hope everyone is well.

Take care,

Frogie xx

Oh wow that was probably more eventful than you expected. Hope she's ok. Door prizes too? That's quite the event.

I just recently started cutting out sugar...can't tell if it's making a difference yet. I never actually noticed any problems with it (even binging a *lot*), not immediately at least so I never made a connection. But this will be long-term better for me if nothing else.

Have you tried phenegran? It works really well for nausea too.

Also, I've used phenergan/promethazine in the past too...it works well. But one thing to note -- if you're sensitive, it can cause akathisia. I had akathisia from using it for a little while (and now akathisia from other things), so if you feel start to feel restless, it may be the anti-nausea medicine (and not a new wd symptom).

She seemed to be ok after the paramedics checked her out, but what a surprise.

This is the 1st year we had door prizes. It was fun to see what there was. Couldn't believe I won and do did my fiancé. We never win anything.

I've never had akasthisia from the phenegran, but I'm starting to get it if I eat too much sugar. Never had that problem before either. I don't know what's going on. My body must be getting sensitive. But I still can't give up my 1 coke a day lol...

Frogie,

That's awesome that you pulled off the party and enjoyed it with your fiance.  Won raffles and everything!  I'm skipping a Gratitude dinner myself tonight.  I just don't feel like it.  And it's semi formal(dressy).  Just not into it.  Maybe I will be more up for some of the Christmas free events all around.  I'm not much of a shopper by necessity and preference.  I just rarely enjoy shopping malls and going here and there, especially when it's busy.......sales or no sales.  Used to be really generous with spending and gift age......just can't anymore.  I will do cards.  Handwritten.  Maybe a tree.  And definitely, hopefully a nice Christmas eve service with the boy.  I do get in the spirit of Baby Jesus though and may do Advent church services up to the Christmas.

How did the neighbor/friend visit go.  I am sorry to report that I am NOT doing too well in all my relations with all others.  I have this friend that texts and always seems so desperate........ who I thought I could at least give a ride to yesterday.  Ended up with her hurling insults at me.......via text of course, and I finally stood my ground with her.  Not real well, mind you.........I was very uncomfortable and childish even, and am embarrassed to say it ruined my day(my own reaction to her).  So.  I. AM. BACK. ON. the steep learning curve upward.   I hope to listen better and always treat others like I wish to be treated(even when feeling resentful/angry)

Have a nice Gratitude day and dinner and hopefully more time with your fiance.

Hi frogie

im so pleased you managed the evening and even won a prize well done. Brownie will definitely enjoy it.

Im still in the same horrible state, anxiety just continuous plus everything else.

Hope your anxiety eases during the day for you.

2006 After sudden death of mother put on 20mg of citaloprom for depression.

2014 Drug stopped working after two weeks of panic attacks felt fine.

Aug 2014. Doctor put me on lyrica for rash on face, diarrhoea, sleeplessness, muscle cramp, bruising. Initial dose too strong, halved dose.  Stopped taking it 22/10/14

2014 severe anxiety after several ssri's attempted, seem to have developed severe  sensitivity to any drug, but giving severe  reactions put on cipralex drop form.started on 2 drops and had to increase by 1 drop every 3 days. Eventually got to 12 drops and had to stop as side effects every step of the way dreadful. Psychiatrist kept telling me to stick with it and my body would get used to it.  Eventually down to 8 drops. Bad reactions throughout the time I was on it

Have been on this until may 2017. Stopped over two weeks. Felt fine for 5 weeks after initial dizziness, nightmares, nausea, insomnia.

Given diazepam by gp and told to take them when anxiety bad. Have only taken them very rarely as they frighten me.

Last two weeks severe anxiety returned and feeling hopeless

11July 2017. Cipralex 2mg. Anxiety, nausea still severe

13 July 2017 Cipralex 1mg due to advice of too high dosage  by kind person on thus site. so dropped from 2mg to 1mg and feelings of anxiety still at severe. As well as nausea, headaches, fatigue.

15 July still feeling extremely anxious verging on panic. Nausea, feelings of fainting, fatigue. Lots of head pains

3 August. Three weeks into trying to stabilise on one drop of cipralex. Still have waking from 4am. Sporadic upset stomach. Nausea.  High anxiety.  Throbbing/burning in nether regions seems to have eased for time being but stabbing/burning in calves of legs. Tinnitus. Occasional half to whole better days but mainly still struggling. Fatigue

You read my mind exactly!

And you can still have it in moderation once in a while. Just watch your symptoms and don't have much at one time like I did. But that is your choice. Like I said I'm not giving up my coke, but I drink a lot more water. I'm not you, or a dr or a mod, it's your choice and what you have worked out with your dr and the mods. They know a lot more than me. :)

My anxiety is starting to subside, thank goodness.

You could try Xanax, but if you can get through it without taking anything, the better for you. I'm not promoting any meds, and I'm not a dr. Just telling you what helps me. But like I said another one to taper off of. Junglechicken takes natural stuff for anxiety. Might check her signature out.

Phenergran really does help for nausea. I've gotten where I don't have to take it all that much. I did take one last night because I didn't want to wake up nauseous today and knew I would eating different food.

I hope your anxiety goes away for a while for you.

The people at our table were older and actually very nice to me. Shock!!!

I ate too much sugar and had a little anxiety this morning but it's gone now.

I heard it raining when we went to bed last night, but dry this morning.

My Uncle is on his way, should be here anytime. Get to see him for I think almost a week.

Thrift stores are great! Glad hubby found a coat. I'm happy you got out.

Hi frogie

thank you for the tip on phenergan will have a look and see if it’s available here. Will check out junglechickens thread as well. I can take supplements they react against me as I’m so sensitive to anything including these horrible drugs.

So pleased your anxiety is easing, fingers crossed I’m next to get some relief. Hopefully my sense of humour will return at the same time. I’m watching a Christmas film on the tv so hoping that will lift me.  It’s been a grey, wet miserable day here so now it’s dark I will stick my head in this film,

hope brownie is still eating well.

Hi frogie

thank you for the tip on phenergan will have a look and see if it’s available here.

I hope Phenergran is available it helps a lot. I'm sorry you have a hard time with supplements, I did too. I only take Vitamin E and an Omega, other than that I take my Lexapro, Xanax and anti nausea when I need it. Oh, and a digestive enzyme, so I don't get constipated or have diarrhea. I have that problem lucky me lol...

Right now I can't watch the Christmas shows, they make me cry because I'm away from family and those movies are always happy with family. Maybe someday I can watch them.

Have a good time watching your movie. And I hope your anxiety and nausea subsidies.

Take care,

Frogie xx

Hi frogie

yes I’ve looked and it seems I can get phenergan so will have a go. I can only take calcium/vitamin d but that’s to protect against osteoporosis as it’s in my family and evening primrose oil, plus HRT which I don’t want to give up. I tried magnesium, vitamin c and they both reacted badly but I haven’t tried omega fish oil yet I got frightened from the reactions of the other things. Did you find the omega caused you any problems. Oh and I take a small bit if melatonin at night which helps generally with my sleep.

The Christmas movies make me cry too but I’ve been crying a lot over the past four days so at least the movies give me something nicer to cry about.

I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to ask junglechicken on your thread what she suggests for anxiety.

hope you don’t mind me messaging you but frogie mentioned you have a number of natural remedies in your armour. Can you please share any for anxiety as it is by far the symptom I have the hardest time with.

Hi:

I wish you luck with the Phenergran, it does help me. But like I said I'm not a dr or a mod. Talk to your dr about it. I did and he thought it would help me. And it helps a lot. I can eat!

I take Schiff Omega, it's krill oil, not fish oil. I get along with it.

I've been very wheepy latley. It's that time of year for me. My family is away from me and I am just stuck in the middle of nowhere!

I also let Junglechicken know you were interested. She is very nice and helpful.

Good luck. Let me know how it goes.

Take care,

Hi Scorpio,

No problem at all, these are the remedies my Naturopath has me on.

With the exception of the "Neal's Yard Remedies" items, they are bought from the online store called "The Natural Dispensary" and I get a discount.

Manufacturer "BioCare":

Butyric Acid (GABA)

NT Complex (CNS)

Manufacturer "Lamberts"

Theanine & Lemon Balm Complex (CNS)

Formulated by Naturopath @ "Neal's Yard Remedies"

Herbal tincture for CNS (Golden seal, Licorice, peppermint, Schisandra, Skullcap, Lemon balm)

Rescue Remedy for stress

Australian Bush flower essence mix for mood

Hope this helps you, and let me know if you need help with anything else.

Well...

Update... I had a horrible night. My back felt really good yesterday. Thought it was almost healed, ha ha. I went to bed and it started hurting. All night. My poor fiancé didn't get much sleep because I didn't sleep. I layed in bed and watched tv. My fiancé rubbed my back, very nice of him.

The neighbors invited us for dinner last night. Ribs, macaroni salad, baked potatoes. They cooked the food and brought it over to our house because we have a bigger kitchen table. I woke up this morning running to the bathroom. I think there must have been spices on the ribs my stomach didn't like. Between Friday night, and last night my stomach is a mess. I hope it clears up before Thanksgiving. Does anyone have this "problem" if you eat foods or spices your body isn't used too? I would love to hear people's answers. I could use some help on this. Maybe I should by stock in Imodium lol...

So today, I'm doing laundry, made the bed, swept the kitchen floor. Now I just took a couple ibuprofen and that's all I'm taking today, have the heating pad and Brownie. We are ready for football!

Thanks for answering me. I really appreciate it. :)

Take care,

Frogie,

I can't tolerate spicy food at all.

My digestive system is A LOT more sensitive these days and anything spicier than "mild" gives me the runs.

Sorry you got hit with gut issues, that's rough.

Make sure you load up on probiotics.

Thanks JC:

I knew I couldn't be the only one with this problem. I don't know what spices were on the ribs, but obviously it was some that he put on that my stomach didn't like. They were good though.

I loaded up on probiotics this morning. If it doesn't go away by Tuesday, out comes the Imodium lol...

Thanks for the help. We are just too much alike. :)

Frogie,

Yes we are!

It was stress that wrecked my gut and made it more sensitive.

I'm still having "tests" done - SIBO and food allergies.

Drink loads, be kind to yourself and also try peppermint oil and charcoal capsules - these are exactly what I'm taking for IBS which was triggered by? STRESS!!

Hi frogie

you poor thing. I sympathise but can only recommend Imodium too, I go through bouts of upset stomach and that’s the only thing that helps. Nice to hear you have a couple of neighbours cook for you, it’s not the nutty woman is it.

Were you dancing Friday night?  Maybe that weakened your back again.

Bet you can’t wait to see your uncle this week. Is your granddaughter coming with him.

Sounds like you have done more than enough today, enjoy the football and sitting curled up with brownie

Fatigue

No dancing Friday night. Last week I carried 2 plastic totes full of jeans to the barn. They were too heavy, and I pulled my lower back.

It wasn't the nutty one. It was good, but I think there were some spices that my stomach didn't like. The ribs were good though. But know I'm paying the price.

My Uncle got here yesterday and leaves the day after Thanksgiving. No granddaughter this year, but we will skype.

Some of it could be the food from Friday night still, then last night and some stress.

One more load of laundry and I'm done.

Thanks for helping me out. I knew I couldn't be the only one with this problem. Junglechicken does too.

Hope you are feeling a little better today.

It’s nice to know you have a family member with you for a week especially to celebrate thanksgiving with you. My mistake about your granddaughter sorry.

No problem. I was supposed to have my granddaughter this weekend but "other" circumstances stopped that. Not on my part.

Last load of laundry going in dryer. I've been sitting here with Brownie watching football, when I'm not running to the bathroom. Boy do I hope this stops soon.  I don't want to take anything if I don't have to. I never got up to make tea.

You said you have this problem too. I hope you aren't running as fast as me lol...

And now my fiancé is making spaghetti for dinner, oh me oh my... But I was out voted...

Take care,

Oh how horrible to have her cancelled on you, I’m so sorry you must be disappointed. Do you think you will be able to have her before Christmas.

Im lucky haven’t got the runs today thank goodness. Your fiancé is wonderful making you dinner of spaghetti - yummy - lots of carbohydrates to stabilise you hopefully. Imodium if it gets worse but I’ve never had bad reactions to Imodium. And hopefully neither do you.

Enjoy the football and your lovely home cooked dinner. I managed to cook tonight it was that or face scrambled egg on toast again my husbands only claim to cooking ability. We had sausage mash and beans - not the most nutritious meal - but great comfort food especially after not eating for the last few days.

Fatigue

I hope to have her for a few days during her Christmas break.

You are very lucky not to have the runs today. I don't get it a lot but when I do, it's a 2 day event. Lucky me. Do you get them often?

My fiancé is a wonderful cook. I'm lucky. But he and my Uncle out voted me on spaghetti. Something else with spices.

I have never had problems with Imodium. I just don't like taking more meds.

I have never been much of a fan of sausage, so I try to avoid it if I can. But the beans sound good. Our family were never big pork eaters, and that's about all my fiancés family eats. I like scrambled eggs and toast, so does Brownie. She will get some hamburger before my fiancé puts it in the spaghetti sauce, so she will be happy.

Check on the Phenergran. It really does help my nausea. But once again I'm not a dr.

Hope we both feel better soon. :)

Take care,

Frogie xx

Hi Frogie

I just wanted to jump into this conversation while you're talking about the runs. Just kidding

I was reading your posts yesterday and I only got about half way through before my eyes tired out. So I just thought I'd come by and say hi.

I'm tapering lexapro also and Ativan will come later. So we have that in common. Just wondering what dose you're down to and how it's going. I saw you were going pretty fast in the beginning. Me too. Been trying to stabilize for 3 months w/o a whole lot of luck. Can't catch a good window.

I haven't been reading a lot on the forum much lately as it makes anxiety worse. I do talk and whine to Scorpio though. But as I'm thinking about tapering soon, just wanted to see how it's going for you. Are you coming all the way off lex before the xanax? I was on xanax but was switched to Ativan 3 mo ago, unfortunately. Xanax worked much better, especially for the brain fog.

Anyway. Nice to meet you. Talk soon.     Lg
