Moderator Frogie Posted August 2, 2019 Author Moderator Share Posted August 2, 2019 This is a really quick update: I feel great 4 months off the Lexapro. No nausea, headaches or anything. It’s awesome. I had a physical 2 weeks ago, my thyroid went down to the normal level, I’m wondering if it was the Lexapro. The dr said I was doing great and gave me Xanax refills so I can continue my taper until I find a new dr. I’m having a little situational anxiety, but nothing I can’t handle. I’m just taking deep breaths and resting when I can. Like ChessieCat reminded me, I couldn’t have done this a year ago. She’s right on the money. Thank you ChessieCat! Packers come today and movers tomorrow, and off to the city we go! HUGE news, last night we sold our property in the little town we are moving from. It’s a big relief, but having to deal with a sale, packers and movers are a little overwhelming. But I just keep telling myself that “normal “ people do this everyday, like my fiancé. He’s been so great. Lots of help and love, even with him finishing his job. We weren’t planning on selling right now, but it was deal we couldn’t pass up. Very excited to not have to be a landlord 200 miles away and to be moving back to the city for a new adventure on life.😊🍾🥂 I guess everything is falling into place. Finally.😊 Please send good thoughts to us as we start this new adventure and moving. Can use all we can get.🍀🍀🍀 I hope everyone is doing well. I’ll update when I can. Had a mishap with movers and had to find new ones. A little overwhelming, but I handled it just fine. I broke my big toe. Was walking down the hall and tripped on the corner of a box. Nothing they can do for a broken toe, so just went on. I did make a big drop in a couple of months. It was a pharmacy mistake. But I handled it. Moderator Frogie Posted September 1, 2019 Author Moderator Share Posted September 1, 2019 Well... It's been 5 months since my last dose of Lexapro and I can honestly say I feel great! I have had a couple of bumps in the beginning, but nothing major and now, looking back, I can't believe I've done so well from such a horrible taper that I went through. I'm now tapering my Xanax, which is not fun at all. I've had anxiety every morning when my eyes open, but it seems to get lower and lower as the day goes on. Still there, but I can function. A weighted blanket really does help. Worth every penny. But this is on my benzo thread. I'm very thankful for all the mods and the support of everyone on here. I quite honestly believe that all of this has contributed to my healing. I'm sure I'm not 100% by any means, but I'm so much better off of it than I have been in over 20 years. Just a little update. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care, Frogie xx PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996. street129
@Frogie the forum is very, very difficult for me to maneuver, after being her off and on since 2017 I still cannot find my way around, this is the first place that's difficult for me to post I wanted to start 9/1 but I couldnt, I needed to be brief and had to look back at notes from brassmonkey, it was frustrating because I couldn't find them in due time, I did found them but it was after the fact. The power and the empty capsule that's a big challenge in itself cuz I just started on the first putting the powder in the capsule. Even tho the scale would have me the correct weight transferring them to the capsule I don't believe is the right amount so what I'm planning on doing instead of making it 563 I make it like 565-566 in weight cuz there ain't no guarantee that the right amount of 563mg is going in the capsule. I'm feel doom. I will not bombard you with my situations because it seems like you have a lot going on. I also don't frequent the board because a lot of people on here seems very ill and the way they talk makes me depressed and I'm not 100 percent healthy, and sickness being mention in any form in my presence do terrible things to my psyche . I don't look at the news to many bad things are going on in the world. I look at comedy shows, no drama shows no fighting shows, Mainly comedy shows I look at. my family cannot tell me of family or friends illness, they know my situation with that and especially death. take care and I will be around especially when I start my taper and going through the those bad days with my withdrawals. happy happy JOINED THIS BOARD AUGUST 27, 2017 250mg trazodone 250mg Aug 21, 2017 tapering before I found SA 200mg - Aug 21, 2017 to Aug 25, 2017 tapering before found SA 225mg - Aug 26, 2017 updose holding November 26, 2017. Hi: Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you. Just been extremely busy. We just moved last month and yesterday they came to build a shed, what a nightmare. But that’s another story. Everyone has WD, that’s normal. Your body wants the full dose of the meds, and you’re taking it away. But you can keep it under control. Just meditate, lots of breathing and distracting yourself. Find something you like to do. I found adult coloring books and I watch a lot of tv. No drama or horror stuff. And I don’t watch the news at all. I watch comedies and things like that. The only other method I know of tapering is liquid. I am not familiar with making my own at all. When I tapered off Lexapro, I had liquid from the manufacturer. Now, I’m tapering Xanax. I’m crushing it and weighing it. Then putting it in capsules just like you are going to do. Mine is always off just a little. You can’t get it exact. But the little tiny bit that it is off is not going to cause you major problems. I would just make sure when you weigh your crushed meds that it is only off a little. Example: my Xanax taper this month is .113mg. When I weigh it out I get .113-.114, which is fine. I’ve been doing the crush and weighing for 4 months now and haven’t had too much of a problem. I’ve had a little anxiety in the morning, but I knew I would and I’ve learned to live with it to get off this horrible medicine. Does all that make sense? I hope I could help. You can’t obsess over a little weight here and there. Just take your time and weigh the powder the best you can. Make sure there is no breeze, and the table is level and the scale goes to “0” before you start weighing. Remember, I’m not a mod or have the experience they have. I’m just giving you my opinion. You can always reach out to them. They are wonderful. You’re going to make it! You’re going to be fine. Positive attitude helps too, I’ve found. Keep me posted 😊 Take care, Frogie xx PREVIOUS medications and discontinuations: Have been on medications since 1996.
