I don't know what I did wrong in my taper.I am forced to stay home,mostly in bed because these vibrations on my body. My anxiety is high. I cant even sleep well because my body shakes.

If you Google "survivingantidepressants.org body shakes" you'll see that many people report this as a withdrawal symptom.  Some of the suggestions are

 

Magnesium, nature's calcium channel blocker 

 

Omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil) 

 

Please research all supplements first and only add in one at a time and at a low dose in case you do experience problems.

What happens if I switch abilify for a different Antipsychotic? Would I experience kindly? I know switching drugs can make it worse,is that correct? I can't go to my doctor because he will only put a patch whatever that is 

(Increasing klonopin and biperiden, or updosing the abilify or risperdal).I need suggestions.  Go to the doc or stay away from him?Thank you,

Dear Manny,

I have no medical expertise whatsoever, so I can't help you medically; but I care about you and want to support you.  I know this forum suggests tapering meds by 10% reductions, then holding till you are stable before making another reduction. I think they recommend one medication should be reduced at a time.  Let's hope a moderator can give you some ideas about what to do.  A small amount of magnesium seems to have a calming effect on me.

Hello friends, I have inner body vibrations. They don't go away and my articulations get inflamed when I walk because my body is in tension. I can't do anything,and I would have to be in bed all the time.I can't stay in bed. I don't have the choice to stay in bed. What can I do? I cant go to the psychiatrist or the gp.I would be further drugged. No friend or relative would also help. Can I updose the abilify? I don't think that would help me.

Hello friends, can i ask a question?Anyone taking abilify? I stopped tapering abilify, but I don't get any better(inner tremors).do you know how long it takes to stabilize? I am going to taper klonopin again.

If you taper the Klonopin, you risk further destabilizing your brain.  It would be better to hold on everything until you stabilize.  Unfortunately, no one knows how long it takes to stabilize.  Jumping around in doses--you mentioned earlier updosing the Abilify-- in an attempt to get relief is not a good idea.

Gridley, I am not sure I can do this.  I have been cutting the disintegrating tablets to find out that I may have not getting the right amount of abilify. What happens if I go back to my original dose to stabilize. These pills (abilify 10 mg discmelt tablets) are not soluble in water.

My original dose was 20mg and now I am on 18mg.I have been holding at 18mg since march,7th,but dry cutting. My body shakes all the time. I am tempted to take two 10 mg tablets.

Manny. As Gridley already, said Jumping around in doses--you mentioned earlier updosing the Abilify-- in an attempt to get relief is not a good idea . It is much better to keep stability with your dosing. Would you feel comfortable making your own liquid solution?

If you read the topic on making a liquid that Gridley linked earlier, it's okay if the medicine isn't soluble in water, you should still be able to make a liquid. 

 

However, if you prefer cutting tablets, and you're worried about cutting the Discmelt tablets, is there any way you can get a prescription for the regular tablets?  You should be able to cut those, according to the drug information that comes with them.  I don't know if you'd experience symptoms switching from the Discmelt to regular tablets, but I think the way WD works it's probably possible, although you would be getting a stable dose from those and I would think it would even out.  (Mod please correct if wrong.)  There's also a pre-made liquid available, and you could try finding a compounding pharmacy to make you a liquid, too.

 

Since the most immediate thing to try is making your own solution, do you have anyone in your life who could help you make a liquid solution, if it seems like too much to handle right now?  I'm sure you are capable of doing it, but sometimes having someone to help when you're feeling unsure of yourself is a big relief.  It seems like your family isn't supportive of you tapering from reading through your thread, so maybe this isn't a possibility.

 

I'm praying for you and hoping you can find relief.  I'm also trying to taper Abilify and it's not easy, but I have faith we can make it through!

None of the meds I'm tapering are actually soluble in water. But the pills dissolve into small enough particles that I can stir them up and keep them suspended in water while I measure them out, and that seems to work for me. Good luck with your new protocol.  Hope you get some relief from those awful tremors.  I have tremors also, but they are so much better that I am grateful.  They were pretty awful in the beginning, so I am pulling for you to feel some improvement soon.  I think they were caused by the Abilify although the psychiatrist said they weren't.  I never had them before; and since I stopped the Abilify, they have certainly lessened.  Keep listening to the moderators' suggestions.  I can only imagine where I would be without the guidance here.

I'm actually tapering from a prescription liquid, not my own liquid, but I'll try to answer your question.  I looked at the 'make your own liquid' thread.  So it sounds like you're making a 1:2 solution (so 10mL water with 20mg Abilify).  What you're doing sounds almost correct then . . . although I think you only toss 1mL to get 18mg total.  Let me do that math . . . 18mg divided by 20mg is 0.9, so that's the percentage of dose you want to take (90%).  90% or 0.9 multiplied by 10mL (your current amount of liquid solution) is 9mL.  So I think you need to be drinking 9mL and tossing 1mL.  Do you follow?  Easier way to math that is to simply divide 18 by 2 (0.5 or your solution ratio -- you have half the amount of liquid to the amount of mg of medicine), and you get 9.

 

I'd say the only other thing to be careful with is making sure the particles are evenly distributed throughout.  A mod might know more.  I hope this method provides some relief for you, although it might take a little time since Abilify has a long half-life.  Keep hanging in there!

RubyJ, i am using only 10mg of abilify pill for tritation, but in reality they are two pills,one that disintegrates in my mouth(taking orally) and another 10mg to do water tritation. 10mg orally +8 mg water tritation = 18 mg of abilify. Thank you,

Hello,RubyJ. Thank you for time to explain to me the doses. Unfortunately, I can't get liquid abilify, but I think it is the same,liquid abilify suspension or water tritation. I am not very good on math. I am not doing very well with water tritation. I don't know why. I can't go for a walk. I have lower back and hips pain plus some body vibration that doesn t let me do my chores. I don't want to keep  further tapering the abilify. I want to reduce the klonopin but I am scared as hell to switch to a different drug (klonopin).

I double checked your math RubyJ and it is correct.  I would like to point out though that the active ingredient in Abilify does not dissolve in water even though the tables or discmelt does.  This makes it very important that things be very well mixed i.e. all the little particles evenly distributed in the water, when the excess is removed.  For future reference with this drug there s a big difference between using a commercially produced oral solution and a homemade water titration.  If you want to switch from one to the other there will need to be some adjustments made to the amount of the dose.

Brassmonkey, I don't know if you are mentioning me(manny78) or rubyj, can you explain what to do again? English is not my first language.I am doing water tritation not liquid solution. I shake very well my 10ml of water with my abilify 10mg discmelt disintegrating tablets and I toss away 2ml. Right now, I don't know what to do. I know that abilify is not soluble in water,but can I do water tritation?

I think the key is trying to wait to stabilize -- if the cause is an uneven dose from cutting the Discmelt tablets -- but I'm not a doctor and I'm unqualified, so I hope someone else has some more suggestions.  If you could talk to a different doctor that might be good?  About the klonopin -- I would read this thread http://survivingantidepressants.org/topic/2207-taking-multiple-psych-drugs-which-drug-to-taper-first/ if you haven't already.

I don t know what to do. I never thought i would be in so much pain from this drug. I have been tritating since april 1st,2018. I can t  even walk for the pain i have in my legs and back.

I had these leg and back pains from time to time, started during on the ssri and intensified during withdrawal, for no other apparent reason! 

I think that are due to the normalization /upregulation of the serotonin system existing in the peripheral nervous and muscular systems during the drug effects. 

For me is much more bearable now, and I have a lot of periods without any pains compared to the recent past
