Dear @direstraits

I’m so very sad that you’ve been struggling so much. I’m sorry you’ve had a stressful life too, I’ve had a lot of trauma in my life also. I didn’t go on meds for that though, I started on these awful meds because of chronic pain.

Have you ever tried EFT or FasterEFT? It’s the one thing I’ve found that’s actually helped with trauma. It reduces the emotional component to experiences we’ve had. You still remember what happened, but you don’t have such an emotional charge to it anymore. I do the tapping nearly every day, it helps calm the emotions from whatever is happening in that day too. Of course, it can’t get rid of withdrawals or the neuro emotions from the meds, but it does calm down the cortisol a little bit and helps you think clearer. It helps you become more centred and grounded.

I sometimes tap along to ones that are about having a good day. That’s always a good start in the morning. You can tap away the intensity of sadness, anger, resentment, hopelessness, helplessness etc etc. I find tapping along to reluctance videos really good too, they’re great when you’re procrastinating about something. They work so well for me.

Again, I’m so very sorry you’re struggling so much, sending you big hugs🤗🤗

I'm so glad @Carmie mentioned this to you!  Yes, if you haven't tried it, definitely look it up.  It IS very good for both physical and emotional healing.  I've found it to be very helpful in dealing with anxiety.  I hope you find it helpful!  :)

Here's a link that discusses it in more detail:  https://www.thrivingnow.com/tapping-points-and-instructions/
