yoshi4844
@Altostrata@LostInCanada Since switching to liquid (1/4) these past 3 days, I’ve been getting symptoms like mild nausea, mild headaches, slightly increase heart rate, stuck in my dreams similar to when I was on trazodone, and rarely cant pee when I need to. When is this concerning? I am going to keep going with the crossover(?) to liquid. Ill do 50/50 today. Embi
When I was changing over to liquid the first time it was too much and I had to wait to be more stable. The second time I tried I did it pretty slowly. Maybe you could do more days at each stage to smooth it out, it couldn’t hurt. Waiting longer to stabilise never hurt in my experience. Of course, more experienced people might have better advice than me. 2 Sertraline 100mg: dec 2017 - June 2021 / 50mg: June 2021 - July 2021 / 75mg: July 2021 - March 22 / 67.5mg: 7th March 22 - 27th March 22 / 61mg: 28th March 22 - 16th April 22 / 55mg: 17th April 22 - 01 May 22 / 50mg: 02 May 22 - 14 Jun 22 / 45mg: 15 Jun 22 - ? / 1.25mg: ~01 Feb 23 - 17 Mar 23 / increased to 1.3mg 18 Mar 23 - 21 Aug 23/ 1.17mg: Aug 23 - ? / 0.7mg: 10 Dec 23 - Jan 24 / 0.6mg: Jan 24 - Feb 24 / Attempted to jump off early Feb, reinstated 17 Feb 24 0.3mg / 0.25mg - ~April 24 / 0.2mg - May 24 Elvanse 30mg: 24 Feb 23 - 02 Mar 23. 50mg: 03 Mar 23 - 05 Mar 23. LostInCanada
@yoshi4844 don't overthink it. Not to many on here that don't have palpitations, racing, strong beats. I just read some stuff from Claire Weekes on anxiety. She is very reassuring about this symptom as to its harmlessness. Just take a deep breath. Some do not do well on the liquid and stick to cutting. It is totally up to you. Cutting gets harder as the dosages get smaller. At this point I am cutting but I bought an amazing scale that cost $700. It measures to 0.0001 g. At the end I may go to self made liquid but at this point it is cutting and weighing. 1 I am not a medical professional. Administrator Altostrata Posted April 24, 2023 Administrator Share Posted April 24, 2023 What times o'clock do you take your doses? You might take the tablet part first, then the liquid part with food. The transition to liquid can be bumpy, but it should smooth out in a week or so. 1 This is not medical advice. SilverLinings
@yoshi4844 I am in about the same place as you with crossing over to liquid citalopram, and am having the same issue with the numbers rubbing off of the syringe. I just went back to the pharmacy and asked if they could give me more, and they gave me a few free of charge. Thank you for the idea about the clear tape; I'm going to try that, too! Are you having any issues with the liquid leaking out of the bottle adaptor when you turn it upside down to fill the syringe? Mine has started leaking, and I hate to waste it like that. I think I'm going to have to stop using the adaptors and be very careful about not tipping over the bottle. Wishing you a smooth transition as you complete your cross over. 1 1999 Sertraline 100(?)mg ~6 months 2001 Effexor XR 75mg ~3 weeks 2001 Citalopram 60mg > 2012 40mg > 2015 30mg > 2017 20mg > 2019 15mg > 2021 10mg > May 2022 5mg 2023: 13-Apr Started 1/2 liquid 1/2 tablet > 5-Jun 4.5mg > 3-Jul 4.05mg > 1-Nov 3.85mg 2024: 3-Jan Finished cross over to all liquid > 9-Jan 3.47mg > 6-Feb 3.12mg > 5-Mar 2.81mg > 2-Apr 2.53mg > 30-Apr 2.27mg > 28-May 2.05mg > 25-Jun 1.84mg > 23-Jul 1.66mg > 20-Aug 1.49mg Supplements: magnesium and fish oil Link to comment

Mine has started leaking, and I hate to waste it like that. My bottle doesn't have a liquid adaptor, so I just stuff the oral syringe into the bottle to collect, I still have a lot of liquid citalopram left in the bottle so I haven't started having issues with filling it up yet. Sorry to say but I have no advice about that. yoshi4844
Just an update, I have been feeling a lot better as of yesterday. A lot of my symptoms cycled and now have mostly gone away. As of now I feel pretty stable. Should I continue holding for a week (or until June 23) or since I am feeling good could I try another 10% reduction (8.1mg or 4ml)?
